Herbology had come and gone without much to report. Things went about the same as the game normally played out. The only big difference is that Sebastian could barely keep it together when Professor Garlick called her a rose, and also Leander was much more annoying than she remembered. There were people out there she knew that really like the other red headed Gryffindor, but she was not one of them. As far as she could tell he didn't have that many redeemable qualities. She even tried to get to know him a little bit as he showed her the chomping cabbage- but it amounted to very little.
He of course went on about his little duel with Sebastian and how Gryffindor's were just so much better than Slytherins. When she tried to redirect his attention he started going off about how upset he was that quidditch was canceled and how he was sure he would have made captain this year- barf. He went on and on about different notable achievements of his and it was a hard listen.
She ended up leaving him quickly, choosing to head back to class rather than spend any more time one on one with him. When she came back Sebastian was waiting for her by her planting station, a smug look on his face.
"How did you enjoy your time with Prewitt?"
"He is a person that is very confident in himself and I admire that."
"He already left the green house."
"He's a little shit." She grumbled her answer as she collected her things, the Slytherin chuckling next to her.
"You say the funniest things. Must be that American spirit."
"Well you're not wrong- now I have to go talk with Garlick before I leave so if you'll excuse me-"
"Wait-" he stepped in front of her "Ominis said he was going to talk to you after potions. Does this mean I'll see you after dinner?"
"Ah yeah you will. Thank you for that by the way, you didn't need to do that."
"I was only telling him the truth, but I'm glad it all worked out. Really I should be thanking you for trying to save me. Anyway, I realized you won't be able to get in on your own so if you want we can just meet at the great hall."
"Actually, Ominis offered to show me how to get in. I think he'll be joining us."
"Oh?" Sebastian looked surprised and maybe even a little.... disappointed? No, maybe it was worried. If things played out how she thought they would, this wouldn't be anything other than him teaching her confringo. Not much to feel worried about- then again, this boy had a lot of secrets.
"Do you not want him there?"
"Well I was hoping to get some of my questions answered about you- will I still get answers if he's there?"
"Sure, why not. We both know you'd probably tell him everything anyway."
He held his hand to his heart in mock pain. "I am offended- I know how to keep a secret."
Jane smiled and wrapped her bag around her shoulder. She moved around the boy heading towards the plant teacher when he grabbed her arm to stop her walk. He leaned down, bringing his lips extremely close to her ear. Then he whispered;
"For you, I'd be willing to keep any secret."
She shivered as he moved back and let go. She looked back to him but all he did was wink and head towards the door. What the hell was that all about??
She didn't have much time to linger on Sebastian's weird behavior though. From class she rushed to lunch, and then to Professor Figs classroom. It was only the third day in this world, but she felt like she was already neglecting the main storyline. Time was relentless here as well, if she didn't keep up with things she may end up in an unforeseen circumstance.
