Nikoa wasn't quite sure what to do. He stepped back a bit, trying not to get too close to either members of the Revengeance. He could tell the others were having the same problem.

The Captain stood at the other end of the hallway, smiling at them. He stood calm and collected, but his dark blue, almost black, eyes danced across them with an almost manic hunger. They were the same color as the strange rocks he had controlled. The dim lights of the hallway made his light skin seem more gray, like he was a ghost. There were deep bags under his eyes, but he seemed to have plenty of energy to spare. His brown hair was pushed back, and he wore the same coat from the picture, the dark blue, double breasted coat with gold buttons that stopped at his calves. It was unbuttoned, revealing a nice, dark gray shirt that was incredibly wrinkled, and he wore black jeans and heavy, thick black boots. Nikoa noticed he wore a small necklace, a chain with a ring hanging from it.

His gaze darted to Kate, who now stood to the side, trying to watch both him and Ace at the same time. "A pleasure to finally meet you face to face, Kate." His voice was loud and clear.

Kate breathed fast, like she couldn't suck in a full breath. Her eyes were wide with fear, and sweat dripped down her forehead and neck. Her hands were shaking, even when she transformed them into claws. Nikoa had never seen her scared before, not like this. It terrified him. She licked her lips, like her mouth had gone dry. "I wish I could say the same," she said, in between a whisper and a growl.

"And who are you supposed to be?" Cherry sneered, clenching her fists. Jin stood like a sentinel in front of her. Eddie moved to stand in between the Captain and Kate, and Vicky stood between her and Ace.

"Oh, silly me," he shook his head and laughed. "I didn't even tell you my name! The name's Raymond." He put a hand to his chest and bowed slightly. "Captain Raymond, to be precise." His eyes drifted to Eddie and Vicky as he straightened. "And who might you be?"

Eddie spat at the Captain's boots with surprisingly good aim. "I'm Batman."

Raymond choked back a laugh. "And I suppose this is Robin?" he asked, looking at Vicky.

"No, this is Patrick!" she yelled, glaring at him.

He laughed outright at that. "Whoever you two are, I like you."

Nikoa wasn't quite sure what any of them were talking about, and exchanged confused looks with Diran

Raymond clapped his hands together, and Kate jumped at the sound. "Now, down to business. Kate, I'm sorry to say, your little field trip is over. Tell your guard dogs to step aside. You're coming with us."

"I'm not going anywhere." She clenched her shaking fists, glaring at him.

He clicked his tongue. "Like it or not, it would seem you are. Might as well roll with it."

Nikoa's eyes darted around as he tried to form a plan. They can't fight him. He knew enough to know if Raymond was the Captain, they didn't stand a chance against him, or Ace.

Nikoa looked down. He could feel the pipes and supports in the floor, and another floor beneath them, maybe more. Could we get down fast enough? he wondered. It might be their only chance, Raymond and Ace had them boxed in.

He clenched his fists. He wouldn't die here, not now, not after they've gotten this far.

He looked at Kate, trying to get her attention without alerting Raymond or Ace. She gave him a quizzical look. He nodded to the floor and flexed his fingers. She seemed to get what he was trying to say, nodding slowly.

"Are you coming or not?" Ace sneered at her. "We can use force, if you'd like."

Nikoa shot a glare at her. "I'll show you force," he said. He raised both hands and shoved down. The floor caved, and he threw the metal to either side, and Kate fired at the floor, bursting through whatever was left.
