Chapter 1: Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Homeless

Tori sits in her therapist office. She stares out the window as her therapist prepares her notes. The therapist walks over and sits on the couch. She flips through some papers and clears her throat. Tori turns to her and smile.

"So Tori, tell me what's going on with your life, how's your friends?", the Therapist asks.

"My friends are doing great, Jade is currently directing a movie that Cat and Robbie are starring in, it's a Wizard of Oz spin-off, it's going to be so good", Tori says.

"I can't wait to see it", the Therapist says, "What about Beck, what's he been up to".

"This kind of feels like a Therapy Session for friends and not me, but Beck is doing good, he started back acting, I'm not sure if he's booked any roles yet but he'll land one soon", Tori says.

"I'm sure he will", the Therapist says, "How about Andre?".

"Isn't this my therapy session, shouldn't you be asking me about what I've been up to", Tori says.

"Well what have you been up to Tori?", the Therapist says.

"Well I'm fresh off the Taylor Swift tour, my album sold $450k in it's first week, I've recently went vegan, that was a bold choice. I cut my hair, I'm bob friendly now, and I'm looking for a new manager", Tori says.

"And how's that going?", the Therapist asks.

"No one is really working for me, everybody has this vision in their head about how I should operate my career", Tori says.

"Kind of like a manager?", the Therapist says.

Tori chuckles.

"Yes, but not at all like my last one", Tori says.

"Well let's talk about your old manager", the Therapist says, "Andre right?".

"I see what you did there, and I'm not a fan" Tori says.

"You have to get through this one way or another", the Therapist says.

Tori takes a deep breath.

"Well Andre's doing fine, his album sold $420k in it's first week, $30k less than mine, yet he has the number one song of the year, he has been Number 1 on Billboard for 9 Weeks, he seems to be thriving without me", Tori says.

"So why is he without you, if I may ask?", the Therapist says.

"Wow, you're very nosy", Tori says, "But if you must know, Andre and I came to the conclusion that we are in two separate headspaces and we both have things we should work on, hence why I'm in therapy", Tori says.

"So you're here with me today to find out what about yourself?", the Therapist asks.

"That's kind of your job to tell me", Tori says.

"Well Tori, I think you're a narcissist, I think you've gotten so use to everything being handed to you, that you think the world revolves around you a bit. Which is not entirely your fault, I mean you're truly a lucky girl. However you tend to take that luck and not want to share it with anybody", the Therapist says.

"Wow, you're very cut throat", Tori says, "You sound like my sister".

"Well how is your relationship with your sister?", the Therapist asks.

"It's great, Trina and me have never been closer. Her old/new husband Andrew is wonderful, Audrey's doing well. Ezra is 9 months old. So everything is good, I was even the maid of honor at her wedding", Tori says.

"Oh yeah, how was the Wedding?", the Therapist asks.

"Oh now that was a fun day", Tori says, "So let me tell you".
