Chapter 14

They left the garden and together they walked to the dorm.

“Do you really want to do it, shortie?”

“Yes, sempai.” She replied smiling.

It was already starting to get dark since it was already late in the afternoon, yet she was there, standing in front of Akira’s door.

“Oh… g-goodluck then.” Ruii stammered. He replied looking away from her. His face blushed seeing her smiling at him. “I-I’ll go ahead, Scar.”

Scarlet nodded as her reply and Ruii entered his room.

You can do this, Scar. He won’t hurt you.

KNOCK. KNOCK.

She waited a little longer but there was no response.

“A-akira? I-it’s me, Scar.” But still, there was no response.

KNOCK. KNOCK.

Darn it. What’s the problem of this jerk? She lost her patience and held the doorknob. She turned it.

“Locked.” She said to herself. “Aaaarrrggghhhh!!! I already gathered all my strength to speak with him but his not in his stupid room! Where could he be?”

“What do you want?” An arrogant voice said behind her. She was surprised when she heard him. She knew who it was even if she’s still facing his door. “If you don’t want to say something, then leave. I don’t even want to waste my time to some junk.”

She slowly turned to him.

“Uhhh. Akira…”

“Spit it, mushroom.”

Her eyebrows twitched when she heard the name he called her and crossed her arms.

“Can’t you just be nice!? Your mood is so irritating, Akira! Then don’t call me mushroom! I’ve got a name. And it’s Scar-let!” She replied emphasizing her name. But he just blankly stared at her.

She looked at him directly in the eyes.

His eyes… His eyes are like a pool of blood. They’re scary. But… They’re also sad.

“What are you looking at?”Akira annoyingly asked. But she didn’t hear him. She was drowned with his red, crimson eyes. Her big eyes widened when she remembered what Ruii told her.

“He never left my side. He's not nice but it doesn't mean he's cold-hearted.”

I can feel cold eyes staring at me. But when I look deeply… there’s nothing but sadness behind his rude attitude.

Akira lost patience and created flames on his finger and walked near her.

What’s that smell? She lost sight of his eyes when she smelled something weird.

Her eyes widened.

“KYAAAAAHHHH!! MY HAAAIIIRRR!!” She started to panic and tried to extinguish the small fire on the tips of some of her hair through her hanky. “WHAAAA!!” She was bawling. Her voice could be heard all over the hallways. “Akira put this fire out!!!” But he remained still.

“Are you going to kill all my hair!?” She exclaimed. “You’ll gonna pay for this, Akira! You’re so full of yourself! If you think you’re a god and you can just do whatever you want, then go get that stupid brain of yours replaced!”

He got irritated with her. With out any second thoughts, he pushed her on the wall, holding her collar tightly.

“Don’t you dare underestimate me.” His rough voice showed that he was fuming. He was furious. His eyes were like trying to devour her soul. Fire flames appeared around them. Now she was really scared. She was trembling out of fear.

R-ruii s-sempai. I can’t fight this guy.

She wanted to shout...

She wanted to shout for help...

But she can’t...

All her courage and strength started to fade.

He’s too strong… I can’t handle this…

Her knees weakened when she felt the hotness of the fire surrounding them. It started to grow bigger and bigger until it was covering them.

Akira was very angry…

…Too angry to be pity on her.

He’s going to kill her.

“A-aki…ra…” Her voice cracked. All she can see is his resentful eyes now full of hatred and the flames which are starting to cover them. “S-stop… this…” She can barely speak. She’s starting to feel that she’s burning.

But Akira was on the mark of killing her. He wanted it. He’s going to burn her.

Ruii hurriedly went out of the room when he felt his brother’s unstoppable power. His eyes widened to see nothing but red flames covering them.

She can’t do anything. He was so powerful she can’t even push him away.

“Akira… stop this…” This was the last thing she had said.

And she forcefully closed her eyes.

He held her collar tightly and not long enough…

“AKIRA!! STOP!!” Ruii shouted.

But he was too late. He can’t stop him anymore.

The words Akira said were the last words that ended it…

…The last words that could take her life away.

“GO TO HELL.”
