I snuggled deeper into the arms around me. I knew it wasn't Nate, but it wasn't until I heard his voice that I realized it was Wyatt. "Are you smelling me, darlin?"

"Um, maybe?" I squeaked, embarrassed that he'd caught me. He smelled like a night in the woods, a mix of the cool air, a campfire, and fresh earth. It was comforting. "I don't know what that cologne is, but it's very soothing," I told him as I looked up into those hazel eyes.

They darkened as he responded, "I'm not wearing cologne, darlin. I guess you like the way I smell naturally." My cheeks flushed as he chuckled at my embarrassment. "Sorry if I woke you," he apologized, changing the topic thankfully.

"Mmmm, I don't mind. You're a good pillow, Wyatt," I teased, then pretended to fluff his chest. Good grief, his abs were rock solid.

I think you'd make a much softer pillow," he grinned, then flipped me under him, nestling his head on one of my breasts. "Oh, yes, much softer."

"Wyatt!" I squealed and laughed as I tried to push him off me. "Get off, you oaf! Ugh, you weigh a ton." I let out a squeak as he quickly turned his head and nipped at my breast through the shirt. My nipple instantly pebbled and my back arched. I could feel the heat pooling in my core and fought to keep my whimper down.

"I think you like that, darlin," Wyatt cooed. His strong hands held me firmly beneath him as his lips once again grazed over my breast. "So responsive," he muttered, "so beautiful." My body felt warm all over and while my mind was confused, my body certainly didn't want him to stop touching me. "I will never get enough of you," he whispered as he lifted his lips to mine. When he covered my mouth with his, I felt like I would burn up. A stream of lava ran through me, my hips grinding against him. Where I was once pushing him away, now my fingers dug into his shoulders trying to get closer. I whined when he pulled away. His eyes looked darker as he stared down at me. Suddenly, he pushed himself off the bed, taking deep breaths, then he walked out.

"Wyatt?" I called out, but he didn't answer. All I heard were his receding footsteps in the hallway. Did I do something wrong? Of course, I did...I mean, I kissed Nate and now here I am making out with him. Stars, he must think I'm such a slut. I pulled my knees to my chest, hugging them tightly.

I quickly swiped at my tears when I heard a knock on the door. "Yes?"

"Hey, it's Leo, can I come in?"

"Sure," I answered softly.

He came in slowly and frowned when he saw my tears. "May I?" He nodded to the bed asking to sit. I nodded and scooted closer to the other side of the bed, unsure how to act. "Are you okay? Wyatt seemed a bit, well, stressed when he came down."

My shoulders shook as I began crying uncontrollably. "I don't know. I didn't mean to do anything wrong. Fuck, why am I so stupid," I tugged at my hair and groaned.

Leo grabbed my hands and gently pulled them down. "Dani, look at me." His voice was more stern than I'd ever heard before and my eyes met his sparkling green ones. "You are not stupid. Now, tell me what happened between you and Wyatt."

I felt like I couldn't even blink as I explained the situation until he lowered his gaze. I suddenly felt so sleepy and caught myself yawning. "Shh, just rest," Leo whispered. He laid me back against the pillows and pulled up the cover. "No one is upset, you just need to relax and sleep." I felt so relaxed as his lips pressed a kiss to my head, and then sleep consumed me.

I was alone in the bed when I woke up, but the smell of breakfast reached my nose. After cleaning up a bit, I made my way down the stairs. "Good morning, beautiful," Dean greeted me. He held out a cup of steaming coffee in a Stitch mug that made me smile. "Did you get enough sleep?"

I nodded, "Yeah. I think I had some odd dreams, but I can't really remember them. So what's on the agenda for today, I could use a lift back to my place."

"Speaking of that, we'd like to talk," Dean said as Talon sat down next to him. The others were already at the table, loading their plates. Leo set a plate with scrambled eggs, french toast, and thick slices of bacon in front of me along with a small dish of powdered sugar. He gave me a wink as he poured me a glass of orange juice then took his seat. I picked at my eggs nervously as I waited for them to explain.

"Get out of that beautiful head, baby," Nate said with a smile. "It's nothing bad. We wanted to know how you felt about maybe staying with us for a while. One of us is usually at the diner so you'd have built-in transportation along with access to a phone if you need it."

I blinked in surprise, looking at the five of them. "W...where would I sleep? I mean, I can't just kick one of you out of your room. How much would you want for rent and gas?"

"We have an office that can be turned into a room for you. We hardly use it honestly, and we don't want your money, Dani," Wyatt said stiffly. His gaze dropped quickly when I cringed at his tone.

"I can't take advantage of you all that way," I said. "You have done way too much for me already." They all exchanged looks that made me feel odd. "I need some air," I said quickly and left the table, heading for the door.

Wyatt

I watched her practically run out the door and let my hand slam onto the table. "Great, now I've fucked it all up," I groaned.

Leo put his hand on my shoulder, "You didn't hurt her last night, and while she may still be a bit edgy, she doesn't remember any of it. Just give her time and get yourself under control, Wyatt."

"Leo's right, man. You aren't the only one struggling to keep yourself in check," Talon groaned. "Why do you think I called Nate last night? If I had gone back into that office after knowing what those creeps tried with her, I'd have lost all control. I don't think Dani's quite ready for that."

"That's exactly why I had to walk out," I groaned. "She was so damn responsive...fuck, I know she doesn't remember us, but she feels the bond, I'm telling you."

"Oh, I know she does," Nate grinned. "We just have to give her time to trust us again. Like Leo said last night, something happened while she was gone. We can't risk her running, especially if it causes her to run straight into danger."
