A/N: Amber's going to go through it throughout this story.

The roads turn from roads surrounded by trees to the opening into a city. Amber eyes open gradually as she lifts her head, finding that they're in a city. She looks around, processing that this is New York. Amber doesn't remember the last time she was in New York, but it was a while ago. Sometimes when she was younger, probably since Amber's memory was kind of blurry at the moment.

She yawns, pushing herself back into the car seat. She looks around a little more, watching as they pass Blackmore University. Her eyes widen slightly, it's a lot bigger than she thought it was. Then her eyes fall upon someone familiar, but the car goes by too fast, so she doesn't see exactly who it is. Amber swears it was a girl who had faded pink in her hair that was dip-dyed, or something similar to that particular style of dyed hair.

Jill looks over at her, smiling slightly. "Well, we're here," she says, pulling into a parking space near a small café.

Amber looks at the building, confused. "You live in a café?"

Jill chuckles. "No, I don't. I own it, but my apartment is above it," she says. "Now, come on, you need to get some food and rest."

The two get out of the car and go into the café. Amber looks around while following Jill.

The café looks like this:

Amber thinks it's beautiful in its simplicity, she continues to follow Jill to a door

Amber thinks it's beautiful in its simplicity, she continues to follow Jill to a door. Jill opens the door, which leads to a staircase, and the two go up it. They reach a mini hallway, and at the end of it is a door. Jill takes her keys out and approaches the door, while Amber follows behind. The two go into Jill's apartment, and Jill leads Amber to her new room.

"Get yourself settled and change into something comfortable if you want, and then come to the kitchen. I'll make you something to eat," Jill says before she walks off to the kitchen.

Amber stares at the door, before opening it, and she walks into her new room. She looks around, finding it to be a sort of loft kind of room. There's a bed on top of the loft, and under the loft is a couch and desk. There's also a second desk that has some of Amber's stuff in boxes on it, while other boxes are on the ground.

She looks through the boxes and finds her favorite Stab t-shirt and dark gray sweatpants. She changes out of the clothes that the hospital provided, changing quickly while trying her best not to touch the bandages.

Amber sighs before she walks out of her new room, going to the kitchen. There she finds a banana sandwich on the counter. She approaches it, picks up the plate, and turns around, nearly jumping when she finds Jill about five steps into the kitchen. She calms down quickly and smiles slightly at Jill.

"You can eat in your room, I don't give a shit," Jill assures, picking up on Amber's slight hesitation.

Amber nods, mumbling a small "okay" as she walks past the older woman. She makes her way back to her room, puts the plate down on the desk that is under the loft, and begins eating. Once she finishes after a few minutes and decides to begin unpacking all the boxes of her stuff.

This is going to take a while...

She puts the last bit of decoration up in her room. Now, the desk that is across from the couch has a PC on it, allowing Amber to game whenever she feels like it. The other desk is where she'll do her work for her classes once she gets into Blackmore, since she has a scholarship that hasn't expired at all.

In the other corner of her room, near the closet, is another room that is attached to her room she has put all her music-related stuff. The walls and roof of the room have bass traps and acoustic panels. Her drum set is in the corner, while her guitars are hung up on the wall by the guitar mounts. Where the recording station is, there's a computer, a DAW, an audio interface, two microphones, a few headphones on wall mounts, studio monitors, several cables attached to things like amplifiers for her guitar, microphone stands, and she has a pop filter. Amber used to record music all the time before what she did in 2022. So she's happy that her parents didn't sell any of her stuff.

In her primary living space, the walls are decorated with a collection of horror movie posters, complemented by sporadic game posters that reflect her interests. Her closet holds a variety of clothes, while her loft bed showcases a few beloved plushies, including some old shark and animal-themed ones. Additionally, she has a wolf and shark onesie stored in the closet, which she intends to wear eventually. Facing the loft bed is her TV, which is connected to her PS5, providing a dedicated area for gaming and relaxation after classes and assignments.

With a soft yawn escaping her lips, Amber makes her way to the couch in her room. She retrieves her sketchbook from the desk and takes a seat on the couch, eager to begin drawing. Previously, her artistic endeavors revolved around smaller projects, but now, with her social interactions limited, she has turned her attention to the vibrant world of graffiti.

She remembers that she has another Instagram account that no one knew about, she never posted on it either. Amber smiles as she realizes that she can use that account to post things like art, her motorcycle, and maybe start up a new life socially speaking.

Just got to find my cashapp card.

A/N: Can you tell I'm slowly leading up to Amber meeting the Core 4 again? Oh, and there's gonna be a lot of Amber scaring Jill or the other way around for the two, since both have definitely not grown out of the extremely quiet Ghostface stalking stage like at all.
