„Beomgyu!"
She shook him, hoping he would open his eyes again, without even realizing how watery her eyes got „Beomgyu! BEOMGYU, please..."
She just stared at him and her heart stopped. This was her fault. Herin closed her eyes, trying not to panic.
Why wouldn't he wake up again?

This was her fault.
Maybe she should just join Soobin and hope, he wouldn't try to kill her friends anymore.
Hoping that would stop him.
When she hesitantly opened her eyes again, her heart stopped.
Beomgyu's eyes were open.
His pupils rapidly moving around the room, trying to understand where he was.

„Oh my god.." She lowered her head.
It didn't matter that she hated him, because she knew that there was a time she hadn't.
The time they had been friends and she couldn't ignore it.
Not now.

As Beomgyu looked at her, he reached for her chin and lifted her head again.
Herin took another deep breath, trying to contain herself.
„You can't sleep. Please, don't fall asleep."
She shook her head and Beomgyu just eyed her, watched as a single tear fell down her cheek.
„You can't die."
Her voice cracked and a slight smile appeared on Beomgyu's lips.

„I won't die. I promise."
His hand left her chin again.
„I will wake up again."
Herin's eyebrows narrowed.
„What?"
Beomgyu lay his hand on top of hers that was still on his shoulder.
„I've already survived."
Their eyes met again.

„I am just tired, okay?"
He lifted his eyebrows, hoping she would be okay with him sleeping for at least ten minutes.
He had survived. He wasn't dead.
He had been passed out, but not dead.
Soobin hadn't done his job right or maybe he hadn't planned to kill him, but he wasn't dead.

„You are injured. I am scared you wont wake up again... I should bring you to the hospital. I bribe or threaten them to not tell the police, but I can't-"
He cut her off.
„No. No, hospital."
Beomgyu tried pushing himself up again.
„This isn't something for the hospital or police. They would arrest me."
Herin shook her head.
„Pretty sure I still have some fentanyl in my system. That will be the reason why I am so tired as well." He whispered and nodded, trying to calm Herin.

He didn't exactly knew it had been the fentanyl, because his pain still had been strong, but he just wanted to calm her and get some sleep. Just a few minutes.
He took her hand of his shoulders and lay it in his lap, his hand tightly gabbing hers.
„If I loosen my grip or let go of your hand, you wake me up. Trust me, okay?"
Herin looked up from their hands.
She didn't know if she trusted him, but she also had no clue what else to do.

„I can't let you die." Herin repeated.
„If you stay up till morning, I could ask Taehyun for help. He wont ask questions and if he does, I will shut him up, but you are hurt."
This was the only solution that had crossed her mind. She couldn't let him sleep, if she hadn't had closure about his condition.

„Okay."
Beomgyu said.
„Okay."

Herin lay one hand on her neck.
Her hair was all over her face and her back was hurting. When she opened her eyes, she looked directly into the yellow lightbulb in the middle of the small room. The storage room.
The room where she had hid Beomgyu last night.
Where she hid Beomgyu...?
Beomgyu!?
She brushed her hair out of her face, finally being fully awake.

But when she looked around, Beomgyu was gone. She had tried so hard not to fall asleep and now he was gone.
His place was empty.
Did he leave himself?
What had happen?
