"Hey! Isn't that Ming Paramaanantra?" a girl whispered, showing a video on her phone to her friend.
"Do you know who the guy that slapped him is?" another girl asked, leaning closer to get a better look.
"No idea, but he's got some serious guts," the first girl replied, her eyes wide with a mix of disbelief and admiration.
"Yeah! He actually hit the 'Untouchable'!" the second girl said, her voice tinged with amusement.
"'Untouchable'? Please, Ming is just overrated! Look how this unknown guy slapped him and got away with it," a guy chimed in, joining the conversation with a dismissive wave of his hand.
"And how do you know he got away with that?" a sharp voice cut through the chatter, making all three of them freeze. They turned slowly to see a tall figure looming over them.
"P'Tong!" they exclaimed in unison, their faces paling. Tong's reputation was well-known; getting on his bad side was like signing your own death warrant.
One simply does not survive in the jungle by provoking the lion.
Tong approached with his usual dominating aura, his arm snaking around the guy's neck in a mock-friendly gesture. "What's your name, friend?" he asked, his tone sweet, but the guy knew better than to trust the friendliness in his voice.
"C-Col," he stammered, his voice barely audible as he struggled to keep his composure.
"So, Col, tell me," Tong continued, tightening his grip just enough to send a clear message, "do you really think Ming is overrated? Or that you don't need to fear him?"
"N-No, that's not what I meant, Phi," Col stuttered, suppressing the tremors running through his body.
"Then what did you mean?" Another voice chimed in, causing Col's blood to run cold. His eyes widened in sheer terror as he recognized none other than Ming Paramaanantra himself, standing just a few feet away.
"Oh, Ming! Come join us," Tong said, waving Ming over with his free hand, his grin widening. "This guy seems to have a lot to say."
Ming approached slowly, his expression unreadable, but Tong knew better. This was the calm before the storm, and everyone around could feel the tension thickening in the air.
"A lot to say, huh?" Ming repeated, a smirk playing on his lips. But in the blink of an eye, his demeanor shifted. The calm was gone, replaced by a cold, calculating fury that made Col's knees buckle beneath him. He tried to wriggle out of Tong's grasp, but it was useless. Tong shoved him forward, causing him to stumble and fall at Ming's feet.
The two girls gasped, instinctively stepping forward to help, but Tong's icy voice stopped them dead in their tracks. "Ladies, don't," he warned, his eyes narrowing as he shot them a menacing glare. They froze, understanding that any interference would only make things worse.
Ming took his time, each step deliberate, his presence suffocating. Col scrambled backward, but there was no escape. Ming crouched down beside him, his voice a low, threatening whisper. "Do you fear me?"
Col's breath hitched, his mind racing, but fear clouded his thoughts, making it impossible to respond. Ming's patience thinned as he watched the boy's futile struggle to comprehend the situation. He grabbed Col by the collar, yanking him to his feet with a force that made the boy wince. Without a word, Ming began dragging him down the hallway, Col's feet barely able to keep up as he was hauled along.
