I felt a force pulling me away from him. No matter how loud i screamed nothing could be heard within the vortex. I saw him reach for me as he got shot out of the vortex and probably launched somewhere. I braced myself and expected to follow him, but no I was launched in a completely different direction.
I could be anywhere right now....
I finally woke up seeing a familiar sight. The beautiful pine trees cluttered above me. Wait... i recognized this place. This was where i was before i got sent into the games.
"GABE!!!!!!!!!" I shout
"Shut up" hissed a voice behind me
"Skull? What are you doing here?" I whispered
"I had to get you out of there." He said
"Why?"
"Where's Gabe?"
"Where did he go?"
"Why are you here?"
"If we aren't in the game who is?"
I said drowning him with questions.
"One at a time please!" He hissed
"Where is Gabe?"
"He is a prisoner at the queens castle, I could only save one of you."
"Why him, and not me?" I said holding back tears. Nobody and I mean NOBODY survives the being in the queens castle for more than a day.
"Uh.. erm... I..." He stuttered nervously and his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. Aw. He was blushing.
"Follow me." He ordered
I followed the little goblin all the way to a cave. He crawled over a bunch of stones and rocks. After a few minutes he came out with a chest.
"Here this is for your journey-"
"Who is taking my place in the game?" I interuppted
" Some girl and her brother." He said
"Here this is for your journey across the galaxy."
"What?!"
"Oh don't forget this." He said as he handed me a letter.
He ran and started to climb above the cave and up the mountain.
"SKULL!" I yelled, but it was no use. He was gone and I was all alone.
