Siobhan had been arguing with Marjorie over new apprentices, Roger had sent her yet again to do his dirty work.
She was starting to get irritated as her dead icy blue eyes stared into Marjories, rolling them as she reiterated what she had keep saying before.
Suddenly, Charlotte brought a unknown lady, politely interrupting the conversation.
"Sorry, she wanted to speak with somebody?"
"Which one of you is in charge?" The lady asked, her voice annoying Siobhan already.
"That would be her ladyship here." Marjorie rolled her eyes and left the office. "She's all yours."
Suddenly the lady had a complaint about a parent being in 'her' parking spot which was not reserved. She didn't not own it anymore as she had sold it to Roger so there was more parking room.
She kept going on and on about it until Siobhan snapped, finally shutting the lady up.
"Fine!"
"Fine?"
"I will talk to them. Who is it?"
"That lady out there in the blue striped shirt."
Siobhan looked out the window and her eyes widened slightly, her ears burning slightly. Luckily her blonde bob covered it and she just made her way outside.
"Seems like your choice of parking is causing quite the uproar." Siobhan deadpanned, hands on her hips.
"Oh hello again. I see she's taken the complaint all the way to head office this time." Vivian smirked, hands in her pockets as she looked down at Siobhan.
"I was in the building anyway. I'm not here to tell you to move the car, I just want to make it look like I am so she'll stop chewing my ear off."
"Handy 'cause I wasn't gonna move it anyway."
"Any particular reason you're choosing this spot? It's the furthest away from the building."
"Exactly why I do it. Yesterday morning I saw three dings with people trying to get as close to the door as possible so at least back here I know I'm safe."
"You do realize parking here irritates the lady who lives next door." Siobhan raised a brow, staring confusedly at Vivian.
"Oh I know. In addition to not having the paint scratched on my car, her being annoyed is an extra bonus." Vivian winked, her smirk growing. She could see Siobhan's ears slightly and they were bright red.
"Given that you're brand new to town, you're not doing yourself any favours when it comes to making friends."
"When it comes to making friends, I wouldn't say you're the authority on the matter."
Siobhan's eyes widened and she turned completely red.
"Oh yeah, I've heard about you. Siobhan; former manager of the other nursery. You've got quite the reputation." Vivian smiled.
"Have a nice day." Just as she went to walk away, her phone dinged and she checked it. It kept dinging consistently and Vivian took notice.
"Do you know..." She looked away then looked back at the shorter blonde woman in front of her. "You could just throw it in the bin."
"You want me to throw my phone in the bin?"
"I weren't talking about the phone, darling. Meant the person sending those texts. Thats what I did with mine..." They made eye contact. "Or just be a typical millennial and you know, stick it on silent. I'm sure he can wait." Vivian went to walk away.
"I didn't get your name." Siobhan spoke up.
"You don't remember, darling? It's Vivian, but all my friends back home call me Viv. It's kinda like the sound my car makes when I turn it on. It's really loud. Another bonus for annoying the neighbor." She winked.
"You seem rather hellbent on annoying this neighbour."
"She turned the sprinklers on the first time I ever parked here and got Jamie all wet before he went into nursery so uh this mama bear's got a grudge now and I got plenty of time in my hands."
Vivian smirked and walked away, leaving Siobhan in the car park alone.
'What a woman..'
