"Mmm... Meghan." I said, strolling up to a group of girls hanging out at the skatepark. They turned their heads as I approached, and I locked eyes with the blonde girl in front, who I guessed was Meghan.
Without missing a beat, I tossed the half-empty pizza box onto the ground near their feet, letting it slide to a stop before throwing a few photos of Jeremy on top of it.
"You've heard the last of Jeremy. He's sorry," I announced, my voice carrying a tone that left no room for doubt. Meghan stepped down from the vert ramp, curiosity pulling her closer to the pictures.
She bent down, picking up the photos with a mix of shock and relief washing over her face. "No frickin' way." Meghan gasped, a happy smile spreading across her face as she examined the evidence of Jeremy's abrupt change in behavior.
I couldn't help but smirk as I tossed away the ridiculous green party glasses I'd been wearing, which had somehow stayed on through all of this."Should've brought my rollerblades." I joked, glancing around the skatepark with a grin. "Show these kids how it's done." The other girls giggled nervously, still trying to piece together what had just happened, while Meghan's excitement only grew.
Suddenly, Meghan jumped forward, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug that nearly knocked the wind out of me. "Oh, shit." I muttered, caught off guard by her enthusiasm. My arms were pinned to my sides, but I could feel the genuine gratitude radiating from her.
"And that's why we do it." I said, nodding to myself as I looked past Meghan at the other girls, who were still staring at me with wide eyes. "But mostly for the money." I added with a wink, easing into the moment as Meghan finally let go, still beaming with happiness.
"Hey, think you can fuck up my step-dad?" one of the girls called out, nodding up at me with a mix of seriousness and hope.
I stopped and looked back at her with a raised eyebrow. "If I give a guy a pavement facial, it's because he's earned it." I replied, my tone firm as I resumed my exit from the skatepark.
As I was about to leave, I heard Meghan's voice call out behind me. "Hey, wait!" she yelled, making me glance over my shoulder while still walking.
"You're my hero." she said, her voice full of admiration.
I shook my head with a quick, dismissive wave. "No, no, no, no. That I ain't!" I yelled back, pointing at her without breaking my stride.
Nope. Never will be. I'm just a bad guy who gets paid to fuck up worse guys.

Welcome to Sister Margarets, it's like a job fair for mercenairies. Think of us as really fucked up tooth fairies, except we knock out the teeth and take the cash. You'd best hope we never see your name on a gold card. One like our friend Jeremy was on.
"Buck! Liefeld...." i greeted as i strolled into the room, giving Buck a gentle tap on the shoulder as i passed by.
"Hey, Santi." Buck greeted back with a nod, quickly returning to his conversation.
