The air was thick with tension as Atsushi threw himself into the fray, fighting off the men in black who had surrounded us. He moved with a fierce determination, his tiger instincts kicking in as he protected me, making sure none of the attackers got too close. I watched him, my mind already working to analyze our surroundings, looking for any clues or advantages we could use.

As Atsushi took down another assailant, I heard the familiar sounds of footsteps rapidly approaching. Kunikida and Dazai finally caught up, their arrival adding much-needed reinforcement. Without hesitation, they joined the battle, Kunikida methodically taking down his opponents with precision, while Dazai seemed to dance around the chaos, always one step ahead of his enemies.

The fight intensified as more men in black flooded the area. Kunikida and Atsushi fought side by side, pushing the attackers back with relentless force. Amidst the chaos, I continued to scan the room, searching for anything that could give us an edge. But then my gaze stopped dead in front of me.

There, amidst the melee, stood Ryuji, his expression cold and calculating. His eyes locked onto mine, and before I could react, he raised his gun, aiming it directly at me. My heart skipped a beat.

"This isn't good." I thought, my mind racing. The space in front of me was wide open, with Atsushi and Kunikida engaged in their own battles on either side. I was exposed.

But then, something caught my eye—movement behind Ryuji. I saw Y/N, flanked by Tanizaki and her best friend Emi, emerging from the shadows. My breath hitched as I realized the danger she was in. The gun was still pointed at me, and if Ryuji fired, there was a real chance Y/N could be caught in the crossfire.

Just then, I heard Y/N scream my surname, her voice cutting through the noise of the battle.

"EDOGAWA!" she shouted, panic lacing her tone. Her scream made everyone around us freeze for a split second, all eyes turning toward me.

That moment of hesitation was all it took. A shot rang out, the sound echoing through the room. My body tensed, bracing for the impact. Time seemed to slow as I waited for the inevitable.
