I'm bored. Also I've never rented a house (I'm 13 I think that's fair) so if it's unrealistic at any point you know why :)

Also there may be some gross descriptions so for those with a weak stomach might want to sit this one out but there will be important lore so I'll put a warning before so your aware if you wanna read

                           (Parker's pov)

Another day of filming had brought me behind the wheel yet again, this time driving to the house of a woman named Laura. She had contacted us shortly after our brush with the police, and after a bit of deliberation (and my insistence) we agreed to check it out.

Chester held up the camera, as I explained the situation to the audience. "We're driving to the home of a girl named Laura, who contacted us about some suspicious activity in a home she used to rent, but now lives in. She reported scratching and screaming from the basement, that she attributed to a "creature" that resides there."

I shuddered slightly, I still wasn't over our last endeavor. The basement may have only a backdrop to the horror we'd endured, but the taste of mildew lingered on in my mouth. And no matter how hard I scrubbed my skin, it felt permanently dirty. Still, it was a job, and she looked- sounded very distressed in her email.

"Why did the last person move out?" Chester asked, snapping me out of my overthinking.

"They didn't." I said simply.

"Wait, what? She has a roommate?" He tried to follow.

"No, not unless you count whatever's in the basement." Dragging out the answer for the video.

"Then how could have they never left?"

"They found her dead in the bathroom." I answered finally.

"Shitty place to die." Chester said, with a stupid grin plastered on his face.

"Great joke." I sighed.

"Just trying to lighten the mood," He said throwing his hands up in surrender, "Anyways, how'd she die?"

"That's the thing, they don't know! The body was already so decomposed by that point, they couldn't really tell."

"Oh shit, how long was it till they found her?" He asked, processing what I'd said.

"Like 4-5ish months. Laura came to evict her for not making her payments, and ignoring her previous warnings, when she walked in on.. her."

"Huh, poor girl. Why'd she move back in then?"

"Look bro, I don't know the details to everything. I'll ask her later."

"Bit weird to imply you specifically would ask, but fair." He shrugged.

"I'm really excited to help this girl, she sounded really nice." I commented, a smile dancing on my features.

"Yep." Chester answered, suddenly sounding very disinterested in the conversation.

"What?"

"Nothing." He lied, his tone betraying him.

I laughed. "It's very clearly something."

"Well, I just feel like you should be honest about why you really wanna be here."

"What are you talking about?" I feel like I overuse those words, but Chester never properly articulates his thoughts.
