The Sacred Forest
Reen Noa Forest
The Sacred Forest is divided into "lesser forests"; it essentially works like districts in cities and towns. The system of lesser forests enables the Sacred Forest protectors to divide their men into divisions, thus easing guarding the forest.
And Reen Noa is one of the lesser forests.
Unlike other lesser forests, Reen Noa kept the largest artifacts that the Realm God's Emissaries left within the Sacred Forest.
Despite that, Reen Noa was only guarded by two people. The leader of the protectors trusted them, knowing they were the strongest among the other protectors.
"I am truly never like humanfolk entering the Holy Forest."
Meena and Uor are two high elves that have resided in Reen Noa for their entire lives since their birth: they're either nearly or completely isolated.
Both have sworn an oath to protect the sacred forest when they reach adulthood. They have lived longer than anybody else, and none have ever known what their age is since high elves can live up to thousands of years.
Rumors said that Meena and Uor could have lived during the Mythic Age, but that's never been true.
"Uor! Please behave! Do not be rude to our guests!" Meena, the female elf, shouted at her partner, Uor, the male elf.
"But, Meena, you do know how humans act. They are all always the same!" Uor retorted.
Uor had never had a good relationship with humanfolk. The reason is unknown, but surely there's a story about it that can be told another time.
"Uor. Put some trust on them. These humans are different this time!" Meena begged.
"How different?" Uor asked.
"These humans came from a land they called 'Earthlands.' These humans helped Qua-Toyne and Qualia develop and defeat those arrogant Lourians!" Meena said.
"They even defeated and slew the demon lord and his subordinates!" She added.
Uor didn't show any reaction of surprise and shock, but rather disgust.
"Meena, you are too gullible. How can you even confirm that news?" Uor questioned.
"If the demon lord and his subordinates are resurrected to the land of livings, surely the others will notice us. Yet, these humans are incapable of defeating and even slewing the demon lord itself!" Uor spatted.
"How can you know the news when yourself care less about the news those other humans brought!" Meena spatted back.
"Because they are not to be trusted!" Uor retorted.
"I have gone to the nearest villages, and that news are true. But how!? You care less about anything!" Meena shouted back.
"How can you trust them? They are just some villagers, a bunch of farmers, and adventurers. Those might be nonsense and fantasies they made!" Uor counter back.
"Uor!!"
The argument continues with Uor spatting more and Meena defending.
While the fighting of words continued, multiple thundering quakes echoed from the distance. The two high elves ceased their feud once they heard the roaring noises; their heads shifted to the road leading to the forest.
