Chap XII - A Faraway Siblings

The United Kingdom of Mu, which has been commonly referred to as the United Kingdom (UK) by the New World natives, has been a major power ever since its very own industrial revolution.

The United Kingdom of Mu is a country purely based on science. Almost every machine and device in the kingdom is purely scientific. However, by 1543, the magical industrial revolution had occurred in the continental Mu, leading to the integration of science-based technology with magic.

While hybrid technologies of magic and science are not very common in the Mu, the country has used a few of these technologies.

In the military, the United Kingdom of Mu is indeed powerful, especially their navy. Their naval power has been ruling and dominating the seas of continental Mu for centuries; no one can compare or rival the Muan naval superiority other than Mirishial.

Comparing Mu and Mirishial in the military, Mirishial has more advanced technology than Mu. However, Mu has more firepower than Mirishial; the big guns are always the weapons Mu has.

The defeat of the Leiforian Iron Maidens Fleet, the Valkan invasion of Leiforia, and subsequently the country, have caused the United Kingdom of Mu to immediately deploy expeditionary forces. The entire continent mobilized its troops in order to stop the Valkan invasion from getting deeper into the continent, and almost all of Leifor was conquered by the Valkan forces.

The remnants of the Leiforian Kaiserliches Heer fought valiantly in every battle against the Valkan invasion. The Muan Royal Army continues to provide the remnants of the Kaiserliches Heer goods and munitions for their survival and continues to provide aid and reinforcements.

The Muan Royal Navy's fleets have been under constant harassment by the Valkan air raids and submarine attacks. Thus, the Royal Navy needs a breakthrough to stop the harassment. This led the Royal Navy to have most of their ships modified or retrofitted with a lot of anti-air guns.

Meanwhile, the Muan Royal Air Corps, along with the Muan Naval Aerial Forces, have found many problems with the losses of many aircraft in many aerial battles against the better and agiler Valkan aircraft. The Royal Air Corps was forced to modify their aircraft and find any solution to reduce casualties and losses while also gaining air superiority on the battlefield.

The Muan Royal Army is the same. The Valkan armored vehicles have become a major problem on the battlefield. The Valkan armored vehicles are fast and have larger caliber guns mounted on them; various of them roll through the battlefield. Fortunately, unlike the other branches, the Royal Army has the solution: grenades, landmines, and field artillery.

The war continued as Mu tried to uphold the lines. At home, war weariness is still low, despite a few pro-peace factions crying for a peaceful way rather than a bloody way. This, however, is ignored. The public still supports the war, believing that tyranny will befall the country if the Valkan ever manages to conquer Mu.

So far, Mu has tried to develop much better technology that can become a breakthrough within the continent and turn the war in their favor.

The United Nations has received more recognition for its technology than any other. Thus, it piques the interest of many scientists and engineers in the kingdom and also in the entire country.

And today, deliberately, the United Nations are arriving by to their country. Their arrival is so sudden that there's no preparation for them, and the Muan Foreign Office are in rush.

If an alliance is forged between Mu and the United Nations, those scientists and engineers' wet dreams might come true...
