As I arrived at the farmhouse, my breath caught in my throat. It was more like a mansion than a farmhouse, with sprawling gardens, towering gates, and a driveway that seemed to stretch on forever. The building itself was bathed in soft, golden light, and even from the outside, I could see the glittering chandeliers and lavish decor through the enormous windows.

Stepping out of the car, I felt a wave of nerves wash over me. I'd never seen anything like this in person. The grandeur, the opulence-it was all overwhelming. As I walked toward the entrance, my heels clicking on the polished stone pathway, I couldn't shake the feeling that I didn't belong here.

The decorations inside were breathtaking. Every detail screamed wealth, from the crystal centerpieces to the intricate floral arrangements that lined the hallways. The rich scent of exotic flowers mixed with the faint notes of expensive perfume filled the air, making me feel almost dizzy.

My heart raced as I realized just how out of place I felt. I wasn't used to this world-the wealth, the luxury-and it was impossible to lie to myself no matter how much my friends pushed me through. I was now having serious second thoughts about attending.

No one from my friend circle was here to support me or make me feel at ease unlike the other times. I was surrounded by strangers, most of whom probably knew each other from similar exclusive events.

Taking a deep breath, I tried to steady myself, reminding myself why I had come. I was here because I had been invited by the birthday girl herself, for some reason I still didn't fully understand. But now, standing in the middle of all this extravagance, I couldn't help but wonder if I had made a mistake.

I wanted to turn around, to leave before anyone noticed me, but something kept me rooted to the spot. Maybe it was curiosity, or maybe it was the determination not to let my fears win. Either way, I knew that leaving now would only fill me with regret later.

As I stepped into the hall where the party was in full swing, my nerves were still on edge. The room was filled with people chatting, laughing, and moving effortlessly in this world of luxury. I felt like an outsider, unsure of where to stand or who to talk to. But then, I spotted a familiar face-Devyaan.

The moment our eyes met, it was as if all the anxiety I had been carrying evaporated. His presence was like a soothing balm to my frazzled nerves. He smiled warmly at me, and suddenly, everything felt a little less intimidating. I managed to wish him a "hi" from the distance, which he responded to with that comforting smile of his.

In that instant, I realized something important: I didn't have to feel out of place here. Not when Devyaan was here. He was someone I could count on, someone who made me feel safe and grounded, even in a setting as overwhelming as this one. With him around, I knew I could handle whatever the night had in store.
