With a thud, I crash down onto my bedroom floor. Siyeon climbs in the window after me and helps me up.

"How can you climb in there everyday?" I groan as I pull myself up. We both knew my aunt and uncle would flip if they saw my black eye or cut cheek so sneaking in by climbing the big oak tree at the side of the house onto the first floor. It was much harder than I expected it to be, although Siyeon has been sneaking through that window for a while. Plus she probably has had some top secret spy training or whatever.

Oh my god. Siyeon is in a spy organisation. And here I was struggling to pass through quadratics. She's so chill about it as well. Without a doubt, she places my bag beside my bed.

"It gets easier every time." She tells me as she jumps down on my bed. "Oh yeah, JiU wanted me to give you this." She hands me a first aid kit the size of a small purse. "She says all you need to help you should be in there."

"That's great." I open the bag. "I wanna take a shower. Are you staying the night?"

"Might as well." She shrugs. "Can I take the duvet from the spare room?"

"Yeah, I'll be back in like 10 minutes."

I had a few more bruises on my back and abdomen. I guess the adrenaline had kept me from feeling the pain. That girl really was an animal. Would I even want to work with the group? With a girl like that? She definitely has it out to get me for or no reason.

Very quickly, I finish showering and change into some soft cotton green PJs. I pass Siyeon a pair of purple PJs as I sit on the bed and open the first aid kit. There are some bandages, sterile wipes, plasters, and some blue cooling kits. Siyeon watches me as I pull out the items and sits right next to me.

"Here." She opens one of the sterile wipes and presses it lightly on the cut of my cheek. "So have you thought about the offer?"

"There are so many things to consider about it, Siyeon. These girls, I barely even know them." I slightly move my head away from Siyeon as I talk. She places a finger on my chin and lightly pulls my head back.

"Try not to move Dongie." She tells me as she finishes wiping the cut. "And you do know them, kinda. If you weren't so cooped up in the art room all the time you'd notice."

"What?"

"JiU and SuA are both in the year above." Siyeon pulls out a plaster and places it on my cheek. "Dami is in our year but is always in isolation, Yoohyeon's in our year too and Gahyeon is JiU's younger sister. She's two years younger than us."

"Wait, Gahyeon's only fourteen?" My eyes widen in disbelief.

"Uh huh. But she's good at using it to manipulate odds against her in the field." Siyeon explains. "Plus we all look after each other."

"In the field, so you all like go on missions, in tight pants and heeled boots? And fight security guards in suits with tasers like ten times your size to slip into a high security vaults to steal a a government secret?"

"Not really," Siyeon laughs. "We've mostly been dealing with underground, low level gangs. Except for the current case." She places the cooling pack on my eye. "I'll have to teach you how to cover so your aunt can't see it."

"What if I say yes to the job and I have to cover up injuries all the time from my aunt?"

"You barely get hurt if you do your job properly. Most of the injuries I've got is from Dami."

"So I'd have to worry about a sociopathic girl I work with?"

"Well... yeah, she's a bitch. But you know her mum is CL, right? So when she really starts acting like a bitch, I just threaten to rat her out to her mum. Plus, it pays well."

"How well?"

"You'll be set up for life by the time you're 18."

My eyes widen. However, we both pause when we hear the noise of someone walking up the stairs. As soon as I hear footsteps coming towards my room, take the cooling pack along with the other first aid bits and hid them under my duvet. Siyeon pulls my hair to one side and covers my eye. As soon as everything is hidden, my door creaks opens and my uncle sticks his head in.

"Girls." He cracks a wholesome smile, "Just wanted to check that you're home. Your aunt and I have tickets to see an opera tomorrow. But we only want to go if you're alright on your own for a day. It's a pretty far drive we'd leave at 7 and come back at 11pm."

"That's fine," I assure him, "I can cook for myself for one day."

"No, no; I don't want to worry I'll slip you some money so you can buy some KFC or McDonald's. By the way, did you change your hair, it looks nice."

"Yeah, just trying something new." I smile. "Thanks."

He does a mini salute and pops his head back out the door.

"How could I lie to him, he's so nice." I tell Siyeon.

"You're telling me? You wanna trade families?"

We both decide to put on a movie afterwards to go to sleep. We chose Lilo and Stitch in the end.

"I'll do it." I told Siyeon as the movie began to end, an hour later. "I'll join your team."

"Really?" Siyeon's eyes light up.

"Yeah. I'll join Dreamcatcher."
