It's Wednesday morning and Becky's walking with Babe to their first class of the day when McKinley High's mascot comes running down the hall at them. They barely get out of his way in time as he continues whooping down the hallway. Students around cheer but Becky just stares blankly, trying to understand what that was all about.
"That guy does his Spirit Run every year around this time," Babe explains.
"Spirit Run?"
"Yeah. It's really just an excuse for him to run around the halls like a crazy person," Babe says, "You'll probably see it again at least three more times this week."
"You guys really go all out here," Becky mentions as she and Babe begin to walk again without fear of getting trampled.
"Told you," Babe shrugs, "Homecoming is one of McKinley's biggest events."
"Small towns are so weird," Becky chuckles.
"They are, but I do love a good theme," Babe replies then gasps as he turns to her, "Have you given any thought to who you'll be going with?"
Becky laughs a little louder, but then stifles it when she sees Babe look at her in confusion.
"I wasn't going to ask anyone," She says with a shrug.
Babe's baffled and stops mid-step, "What? Why not?"
"I don't really have anyone in mind," Becky answers simply, "Why? What's the issue?"
"You have to have an escort, Bec," Babe urges, "You're apart of the Homecoming Court now, you can't just attend the dance alone."
Becky rolls her eyes at how serious he's making it all sound, "Why not? What's going to happen to me if I don't go with anyone?"
Babe stammers, "Uh...nothing I guess but it's not something people usually do. You're pretty popular, Bec, why don't you use that to your advantage like everyone else here? I'm sure you'd find a date easily if you asked around."
"Okay fine," Becky smirks, "Do you want to go with me?"
Babe gives her a look, "I'm flattered but I already agreed to go with a group from Glee Club."
"Well look at that. I tried," Becky fakes defeat, "Guess I'll be going alone then."
"But –"
"I'll be fine, Babe. You said it yourself, nothing will happen to me if I go alone," Becky chuckles as she enters the classroom.
Babe just sighs and follows after Becky.

The day goes on as usual for Becky until she arrives to her Home Room class for third bell. It's one of her favorite parts of the day; half of the bell is spent on studying and using your time wisely before everyone's released for lunch. It's kind of her time to wind down from all the info-intake, but sometimes she tries to get a jump on homework so she doesn't have to do much after practice.
It's also the class before her final one of the day which she gets to spend with Freen.
She has barely walked through the door when her teacher hands her a note saying she's needed in Ms. Pillsbury's office. She recognizes the name from when Freen mentioned her awhile ago, but Becky frowns as she looks over the note.
