Not another love story

Chapter 5

Its been about a month now since that first day at the beach with Cody. We've grown pretty close and he's practically my brother now. I met Alli a couple weeks ago too. Shes so nice and we already act like best friends. Its the middle of october now and Halloween is around the corner. And I still get those weird txts every once in a while. I was getting ready for school when my phone buzzed..

Morning

It was from Cody.

Good morning :) I replayed

I went down stairs to catch the bus. My phone buzzed again.

U gonna be on the bus? Cody asked just like every other morning.

Duhh Im already up might as well come to school :P I responded.

The bus pulled up as I pressed send. I got on the bus and sat in an empty seat for about 2 minates, then a familiar body came and sat in my seat. I already knew it was Cody because our mornings were very routine. The same process everyday.

"Hey" Cody smiled 

"Hey" I smiled back 

Cody took his phone out and started checking his twitter and facebook, leaving me to look out the window. Which is when I noticed it was really cold.. I sat shivering uncontrolably and I guess Cody noticed..

"Hey are you cold?" He chuckled

"Whaaaaat? pshhhh no I just love to shiver my ass off" I gave him a sarcastic smile

"Ok ok Miss Sass. is this better?" Cody moved close and put his arm around me pulling me closer then playfully and putting me into a play head lock.

"Ugh Cody your going to mess up my hair!" I joked back pretending to be a snobby stuck up girl and pushed him off. Cody laughed and caught on to my joke.

"Alright alright, is this better?" Cody moved closer and put a warm arm around me. His warmth was so comforting, I didn't want it to end. 

"Much better" I smiled

Me and Cody always joke around like this. At first people thought it was weird and thought that we were dating but we were just good friends.  We stayed cuddled up for the rest of the bus ride on our phones. The bus pulled up to the school after about 25 minates, and to be honest I really didn't want to get up.

"Ughhh I don't wanna get up"I complained not looking up from my phone 

"I know I was comfortable" Cody shifted and got up 

I sat up and got my bag, Cody had already gotten off the bus but he was probably waiting for me outside of the bus like always.  I was right, Cody was standing there as always.

"Ughh I smell like girl now" He complained jokingly

"Its better than how you smelled before" I jokingly sassed back

Cody raised his eyebrows in amusement and scoffed. I gave him the 'I was just kidding look' and he laughed. 

"I know I was just messing with you" He smiled 

We walked in a peaceful silence for a couple minates untill the first bell inturpted it. "Hey, I have to get to class but I have to ask you something later so I'll meet you at you locker after 1st block ok?" Cody asked, he looked nervous 

"um sure? see you later" I smiled.

1st block ended and I almost forgot Cody was going to be at my locker. Ive been wondering what he wanted to ask me..
