29. Hesitation

The next morning, Lan Wangji wakes up in the hotel room with an excruciating pain all over his body but the most painful part is finding himself naked under a quilt between the two Wei twin brothers.

Lan Wangji first removes the Wei twin brothers' hands from his body with great difficulty and sits up groggily with pain but still has the quilt covering him.

Lan Wangji slowly remembers the events of the previous night and how he had ended up in bed with both Wei Wuxian and Wei Ying after drinking three bottles of beer.

The memory makes Lan Wangji cringe, not just from embarrassment but from the sheer physical discomfort he's now experiencing as his entire lower body is aching and both his holes have become extremely sore.

Lan Wangji looks around the room and sees Wei Wuxian and Wei Ying still sound asleep, tangled in the sheets and he realises that it would have been extremely embarrassing for him if both of them were awake at this time.

Lan Wangji gingerly tries to move, but every little movement sends sharp pangs through his muscles and it's like his body is staging a rebellion against him.

Lan Wangji barely comes out from under the quilt naked and starts looking for his clothes on the floor but it is not easy for him to do so.

Determined to escape the situation with some dignity, Lan Wangji decides to sneak out then he carefully dresses himself, trying to avoid any sudden movements that might exacerbate the pain.

Lan Wangji puts on his clothes but he does everything so slowly so as not to wake anyone up, he winces and grimaces, making it look like he’s trying to perform some strange form of interpretive dance.

Finally, Lan Wangji manages to get dressed and quietly slips out of the room then he makes his way back to his own hotel room, walking as though he's attempting to do the world’s slowest moonwalk.

Lan Wangji's discomfort is almost comedic, each step seeming to involve a silent struggle against his own aching body but after coming to his room he puts his hand over his mouth and yells loudly that he could do something so stupid after drinking so much.

Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian and Wei Ying wake up a bit late, stretching and yawning, as they regain their senses, they immediately notice that Lan Wangji is not in their bed.

Both brothers Wei Wuxian and Wei Ying wake up first, cover their lower body parts and start checking in the bathroom.

They check every corner of the hotel room, even peeking under the bed as if Lan Wangji might be hiding there, pretending he’s playing a game of hide-and-seek.

Wei Wuxian asks, rubbing his eyes, "Where could he go so early in the morning? I searched the whole room but it seems he has gone back to his room."

Wei Ying sits up and thinks for a moment, he guesses and says, "He’s probably gone back to his room because he might be feeling ashamed of both of us right now."

Both Wei Wuxian and Wei Ying pick up their heavy clothes and put them on and after that they go to the bathroom in the morning and take a bath and freshen up because they have to take a flight back today.

As the day progresses, Wei Wuxian and Wei Ying decide that they will take care of Lan Wangji together as they know that omegas are in a lot of pain when they lose their virginity.

They’re concerned about his well-being after last night’s events, and they also need to make plans to return to their city from Hong Kong.

Wei Wuxian says with a mix of concern and curiosity, “We should make sure Lan Wangji is okay because he may have gotten drunk last night and engaged in sexual activity but his condition might be worse right now.”
