She ran. Her paws were soaked with water from the puddles of the thick rain. Her bright yellow tail, ears, paws, and wings shined in the dark for her, making it easier to see. Unfortuantely, it had some disadvantages aswell.

"Go after her!"

"She cant get far!"

"catch her!"

The men were catching up very fast. She took a turn to a river and leaped off the ground for a big jump over it. She glanced over her shoulder to check if the men were still pursing her. Her paws began to grow heavy, and she needed to stop for a rest. However, the men continued to close in on her.

"C'mon! She cant get far!" one of them yelled.

Up ahead, a tall tree with thick branches caught her eye. Without thinking, she pushed off the ground with all her might, wings flaring out to catch the wind as she soared upwards, her claws digging into the rough bark as she scrambled to the highest branch that could support her. Below, the men stopped, panting, scanning the area with their flashlights.

For a moment, she paused, catching her breath. But something stirred within her—an anger, a spark of something more than just the desire to escape. The memories of the lab, the pain, the fear, all of it began to churn inside her, fueling a fire that had long been dormant.

She narrowed her eyes, the glow from her wings intensifying as she spread them wide. With a powerful leap, she launched herself from the tree, diving towards the men with a speed and ferocity they hadn't expected. The air around her seemed to shift, currents swirling around her as if responding to her unspoken command.
