Nora and Adele were back home after a glamorous event, their private moments a stark contrast to the public scenes they’d just left behind. The party had been filled with glitz and glamour, but also a touch of drama that neither had anticipated.
As they settled in, Adele’s protective instincts flared. She turned to Nora, her eyes serious and a touch of frustration in her voice. "Nora, I hate that guy. He looked at you like you were his meal. Adele’s expression hardened slightly. "Okay, do what you want. But remember, you should accept the consequences. You know my punishments aren’t easy."
Nora felt a shiver at Adele’s words, but she tried to hide her unease. They went to the party, and as Adele had predicted, the unwanted attention from the man in question became apparent. He tried to hit on Nora and, as he touched her back, Adele’s anger erupted.
Adele stood up abruptly, her presence commanding immediate attention. Her confrontation with the man was sharp and fierce, her words slicing through the air with an intensity that left the guy retreating in embarrassment. Adele then grabbed Nora’s hand firmly and led her out of the party, leaving behind the chaos she had just quelled.
Once they were safely outside, Adele turned to Nora with a stern gaze. "Darling, I told you not to make me angry."
Nora looked down, remorse evident in her voice. "I’m sorry, love. Just forgive me this time."
Adele’s expression softened but remained resolute. "You know I can’t do that. Your punishment is waiting for you."
Nora sighed, knowing there was no escaping Adele’s sense of justice. As they headed home, the atmosphere between them was charged with the unspoken tension of what was to come. But beneath it all, Nora knew that Adele’s fierce love and protection were part of what made their relationship so strong.
