I walked into the lunch room and someone familiar ran up to me, it was my friend, Treah. She was a shortie, getting the smallest size uniform,  she recently dyed her hair red, with them being in twintails. "Hey Erra! You were late, the girls were worried!" Erra scoffed. "I have lunch detention. Tell the girls I'll see them later." I told her. Treah nodded. "Got it! That sucks though. What did you do?" She crossed her arms. "I pissed off Miss Kims. She got tired of me and sent me to detention." Treah stifled a laugh and I smacked her in the head. "Quiet you." Treah snickered and walked with me as I grabbed my lunch. "Well I'll see ya later girl!" I nodded and walked out of the Cafeteria.
When I walked into the Lunch Detention room I scoffed as I saw the only person in there. He had on the male school uniform, dark blue pants, brown dress shoes, a black shirt and dark blue blazer with a similar black tie to the female tie. He had dark brown hair that went down to cover his ears, as well as black headphones. He was staring at his food, eating it slowly. Soul Conners. "I swear to the gods if it's just us." I spat. Soul didn't even glance at me as I sat across the room from him. "Seems like it." We always had bad blood. Soul's just a piece of shit! All he does is threaten to fight people, he's always caught smoking, he even took my cute little sister! She's always hanging around Soul and that Junior dick head. I scoffed to myself and started eating again. My eyes glanced up to the camera at the corner of the room and I stopped for a moment. Did it move? Wait.. "That camera.." I muttered. "The makeup finally seeped into your brain?" I scowled at him. "Those cameras look different, blockhead." I snapped. Soul scoffed and looked up at the camera. "And? Maybe the schools finally using the fucking money they have." He waved me off. Erra shrugged and went back to her food. "Whatever." I still couldn't get over it as I looked up. The town I live in, Salmon Town, is not a very nice high end town. Sure we have Magic Resistant wood, but we do not have the economy for those cameras. I glanced at Soul who didn't even bat an eye to the camera. Maybe I'm just bored out of my mind. I continued eating and looked at the empty desk. "The guy in charge of here never showed up." Soul said. I glanced at him. "What?" Soul narrowed his eyes. "Mister Moran, he wasn't here when I showed up either." He told me. "Right.. Have you seen him at all today?" I asked. Soul shook his head. "Nah. You?" I shrugged. "Don't pay attention." Soul snorted. "Too busy putting on all that makeup? You look like a fucking doll." I rolled my eyes. "Fuck you, asshole, at least I don't kill myself by smoking at fucking 16!" Soul grinned. "Oh yeah, I should really listen to the party girl who probably gets drunk and pawns her body out." I slammed my hands on the table and shot up. "The hell you say!?" Suddenly the door opened and a woman in a business suit walked in with people in yellow jackets. "Excuse me?" Me and Soul glared at the lady. "Yes..?" I asked hesitantly. "My apologies, I didn't know this room was in use, may you two please exit?" "Why?" "Got it." Soul said quickly and walked out. I hesitantly followed him and the woman nodded and the door closed. "What the hell was that?" I asked. Soul crossed his arms. "I don't know, but I don't trust her." I scoffed. "Do you trust anyone?" Soul walked off. "No." I rolled my eyes and walked the opposite way of him. I looked at the clock and saw that barely any time had passed. I sighed and walked outside to the school yard. It's a common place for kids to skip as.. I jumped out of the way of stray fire. I looked towards the field and saw a blonde boy burn a training dummy to the ground. I grumbled and tossed my hair. The training ground here is how kids get away with skipping. They would use the excuse of 'they are working on magic' if caught. Hell, I've used the excuse before. But then there's people like that blonde boy, who actually do train. When some people want to relax. "Sorry." The guy told me, then went back to throwing fireballs. "Whatever." I sighed and sat down against a wall. I looked at the grass in front of me and waved my hand towards them, they were barely moving, but I did feel the breeze from my hand. I have Wind Magic. That means I should be able to control wind flow, but.. I'm not good at it, both me and my sister, who's Magicless. Have troubles with Magic. She's bullied for her lack of Magic and me.. I can barely use it, it's like I have the energy to use quite a bit of Magic but it doesn't listen to me. I sigh in annoyance and sit there, the sound of fire keeping me occupied until the lunch bell rings.
"And the The Empire, in retaliation of the Union, struck back against them! And that is why there is prominent territory between the Union and Dessert." I sighed in Mister Katalos's history class. He was such a suck up to the Empire, he wasn't even Noble either it was annoying. Nobles have those sexy accents from that high society that made you believe everything they said. This guy? Jack shit. I looked next to me and saw a friend of mine dutifully writing away at everything Katalos was saying. Jane Stone. She's another kid at the orphanage and out token. She's smart, pretty, social, and even humble. She's the definition of perfection, though she'll never admit it. She glanced at me, staring at her and tilted her head. "Yes Erra?" I shrugged. "Copying off your notes." I teased. Jane just gave that damned small smile. "You can always just ask, dear." I shrugged and glanced down at them, then at my notebook and its doodles. "Yeah yeah, how are you younger than me?" I grumbled. Jane just giggled and went back to listening to that damn rant. "Hey did you hear?" I glanced my eyes to my left and saw some kids behind me talking. "Apparently an embassy from the Empire is going to be here!" One of them whispered. The other nodded. "Is that true?" He grinned. "They are apparently going to come here for some conscript project for the war that's going to happen." "No way! Ain't that just some rumor?" The second boy asked. "No it's for real, my Mom has a contact in the Empire and. . ." I stopped paying attention after that. Get real. This is a small town who'd care to get some fighting force when there's cities near the Empire. Though if they could get Soul's ass out of here.. I giggled silently to myself and looked at the clock for my entertainment.
The bell rang loudly announcing the end of the day and I quickly grabbed my bag and headed down the flight of stairs towards the art hallway, there was my sister, Kara, a cute small girl who's been drifting away from me for some time now, she was short, even shorter than Treah, she also had a pixie cut with strawberry hair. As of now she was yelling at a much taller boy. He had darker skin and had jet black spikey hair and had his blazer undone recently. "Come on, girlie! What's wrong with a walk home?" Kara's face was red with anger as she yelled at him. "Piss off Junior, I'll see you tomorrow!" Junior Larkov, he was a prankster, never taking anything seriously, even when he genuinely hurt others. "Hahah! Alright, seeya tomorrow!" He waved his hand and walked away. I looked at who was leaning against the wall watching the ordeal. Him. "So what are you doing after school?" Kara asked Soul. "Nothing." Soul scoffed. Kara smiled. "Wanna go out for food?" Soul rolled his eyes. "No." He stated as he walked past her, and then past me. "Seeya." He said coldly. "Figures.." Kata sighed. "Come on, give up on him!" I tried to cheer her up as I hugged her. "Let go sis." Kara huffed. "You know I hate being touched." "Am I not allowed to hug my precious sister?" I whined. "Uh, no!" Kara pushed me off her and started waking, with me giggling and following her. We've had a pretty strained relationship. I integrated myself with the popular girls easily due to my natural charm. Meanwhile Kara never got along with them, so she slowly became a delinquent. But the potential! I've been trying to get her to see how much fun she can have with us, she'll be so cute! The cute younger one who's been learning how to be pretty like us! But she never liked the idea. Shame. "How was your day little sis?" I asked her. Kara shrugged. "Was fine." She simply said. "Aww come on, nothing interesting?" I asked. Kara shook her head. "No" She sighed. I giggled. As we stepped outside we instantly saw all the posters being set up, welcoming the Empire official. "I guess that was true.. Huh.." I muttered. "Is he supposed to go to the orphanage?" Kara asked. "Is he?" I asked back. Kara shrugged, "It makes sense. He's probably going to try and make it seem like he's a real stand up guy." Kara tilted her head. I shrugged. "Who knows?"

"Welcome back my dears!" Miss Eliza welcomed us back with a big hug, earning a groan from both of us. "Hey Mom." Kara sighed. She laughed softly, letting go of us and smiled. "How were your days?" I shrugged. "Mine was fine." She gave me a knowing glance and I sighed. To Moms room I go after this. "Kara?" Kara also shrugged. "Nothing exciting." Miss Eliza nodded and patted both of our heads. "Go back to your room to drop your stuff off, Erra?" I quickly moved past her. "Yeah yeah." I walked quickly to my room, completely ignoring Kyle, a friend of mine from the Orphanage and threw my bag on my bed. I share a room with Kara and it's very apparent. My side is very colorful, with make up everywhere and a boy band poster near my mirror, meanwhile Kara's is.. Bland, no wall decorations besides a band poster that Kara said Soul was a fan of, barely any makeup, and nothing interesting for her bed. Kara entered and threw her bag on the bed. "So, what did you do this time?" She asked me as she started changing out of her uniform. I did the same as I grumbled to myself. "Got lunch detention for making fun of a teacher." I sighed. Kara giggled. "Can't get one day without trouble hm?" I huffed and sighed. "Yeah yeah." I put on a white blouse and matching skirt, as well as black leggings as I walked out. "Seeya after I get chewed out." I waved to my sister and walked out.
Stone Orphanage. It's where I remember growing up most of my life. Me and Kara were apparently found by our mother when she was on a walk through the woods, and we've stayed here ever since. I.. feel bad for how I turned out sometimes, Miss Eliza, our Mom, she's been working so hard to keep this orphanage running with all of us growing up, and I've been getting in trouble more and more. It's not my fault that I don't get along with others who aren't like me though! I sighed to myself and opened the door to Miss Eliza's room. I walked in and saw her writing a letter. "Y'know, there's quicker ways to message." I joked. Miss Eliza laughed softly and put her letter down. "I'm bad at newer technology, as you know." She said teasingly before dawning a more serious look. "Uh oh.." "You know what I'm going to say sweetheart." She cut me off. "Why do you argue with teachers so much? You don't need to get along but this is the seventh time this month!" She lectured me. I looked down. "I'm sorry.. I just can't not say anything." I replied. "I know Erra, but it's becoming a problem." She sighed. "Just please make sure that when that official arrives, you behave yourself." I nodded. "Yes ma'am." I said softly. "Thank you." She nodded for me to leave and I walked out.

I laid down on my bed after dinner. It was uneventful. I sat with Kara and we didn't talk much. I don't have the energy to get up to find my friends either. I think I'll just..

"Erra help!" She looked behind herself and saw the little one trip and fall, as a Strider pounced on her. "No!" She said as she lunged to the little one, she got knocked away by another Strider before they both attacked the little one. "Ka-"
