The next day came and the gang continued exploring route one hundred and ten.

On the way, they battled lots of wild pokemon, trainers and each other. Sharing jokes and laughs. And May caught herself a Plusle and Brendan caught himself a Voltorb.

It felt like forever until the gang finally arrived to Mauville City.

Juliana pov

"Wow, so this is Mauville City, how cool" I comment in shock.

"Hey, isn't that Wally over there?" May questioned.

We looked ahead and she was right, it was Wally.

"It is, let's go say hi to him" Brendan suggested.

Then we walked over to him but saw him talking to someone.

"Wow, so this is Mauville City!"

"You sure seem to be enjoying it Wally" the man laughed.

"So what would you like to do, want to grab a bite to eat at the Manville Food Court or maybe we should get you a bike of your own at Rydel's Cycles, would you like that?" the man asked Wally.

"No thank you, I want to challenge the gym right away" he answered in determination.

"Oh, so there's a gym here wow"

"Let's see...I'm pretty sure the gym is...straight up ahead this way" he pointed.

"Just through the inner courtyard" he rushed off.

"Hey, Wally wait!" the man went after him.

"Wow, I didn't know Wally was a fast runner" Brendan says in shock.

"Well, good thing he said where the next gym was or else we would be walking around here forever" May chuckled.

"Um...we have our maps you know" Brendan reminded.

"Oh right"

After laughing, we decided to head towards where Wally ran off too.

It didn't take long for us to find the gym but we saw Wally and the man again talking in front of the gym.

"Uncle I'm begging you, I want to challenge the gym to see how much stronger I've become...please, you'll let me, won't you?"

"So that man is Wally's uncle" I thought in surprise.

"I wonder what's going on between them?"

"Let's hear what they say" Arven suggested.

"Now hold on Wally...it's certainly true that you've grown quite a lot stronger alongside your pokemon, but don't you think that jumping right into challenging a gym might be pushing it?"

"I'm not pushing it uncle, if it's me and my Ralts, we can beat anyone"

"He sounds like you Nemona" Penny chuckled.

"Hey, at least he's got some taste of determination when it comes to battling" she grinned.

"Ah, guys!"

We turned to see Wally looking at us and he walked over to us.

"Hi Wally, it's been a while" May greeted.

"How are you doing?" Nemona asks.

"Ralts and I have gotten a lot stronger since we first met, growing together"

"That's great to hear" Brendan smiled.

"I'm happy to hear that you and your Ralts are doing fine" Florian added.
