| |Shelly's pov | |

I don't wanna sound robophobic, but I don't really wanna listen to Aurora's singing based on what happened with Vee. "Sure, I don't really mind." Astro uncharacteristically agreed. He's tryna get away from the consequences of giving me the dream about our l̶o̶v̶e̶ friend. Yeah, I'm not letting that happen. "I'd love to listen to your singing!" I looked at Astro with a very wide smile. "Thank you. If there's any problem, you can say it. I don't mind harsh criticism, as long as I can improve my horrible singing." So, it is as bad as Vee's, I knew it. Astro and I follow Rory as she leads us to her room. She goes into a what I think is a booth? I know she couldn't hear anything as she was singing, so I took that opportunity to turn to Astro. He looks at me with a confused gaze, acting dumb now, are we? "Why did you give me a dream about Vee?" I didn't want to hurt his ears, so i asked gently. "I didn't give you any dreams or nightmares, tho?" He responded to my surprise. "You didn't?" He shakes his head. How odd I should have had a dreamless sleep, but I didn't. "What was the dream about?"

Before I can answer, Rory has already finished and gave the recordings to us. And to be blunt, her singing is horrible that even the Tyrannosaurus Rex would cower for it to stop. Even though she said harsh criticism is fine, I have a reputation to keep. "This is honestly awful, not as bad as Vee's singing, but awful." I just nodded to agree with Astro.  "Yeah, it's bad. Can you guys give me advice on how I can improve it?" We looked at each other and back at her. I don't know anything about singing, and I have never heard Astro's before. "We're not exactly the best when it comes singing or music in general, but Boxten does. He's a music box, after all." Rory nodded and thanked us, we left her room afterwards. "So, can you tell me about the supposed 'dream' you had?" Astro asked me as we entered his room. "Well..."

Flashback...
I find myself walking around in a white void. The green figure I see ahead is very obvious. "Vee!" I yelled, running over and giving her a hug. "Hey, how have you been?" She asked me, not concerned over the fact I just tackled her to the ground. "Vee... where have you been...?" I feel tears prick the corners of my eyes. She lifts my head up, fingers moving to wipe the tears away.  Normally, she would've malfunctioned from the water, but I felt too relaxed in her grasp and ignored that odd detail. "I'm sorry, Shelly. I wish to go with you, but I can't.." I looked at her confused and scared. "Wha- what do you mean by that!? You can! There's nothing stopping you!" I gripped her hand. She does a monotonous chuckle. "If only that were the case.... unfortunately, there is something that's preventing me from going back, and that something is Aurora...." I wake up teary-eyed when I realised it was a dream. I look at the bedside table and see a sticky note written about the book club on the bedside table.
End of flash back...

I finished up the story and looked at Astro, who was shocked. "That wasn't a dream.... That was a message..." A message?... So, that means Vee really isn't coming back... SHE ISN'T COMING BACK!? NO! NO!! I CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN!! I CAN'T- Astro grabbed onto me as I started to hyperventilate. "Shelly, listen to my voice... Breath in.. Breath out.." I followed his words. Eventually, I was breathing normally again. I started to cry, burying my face in Astro's shoulder. His blanket was getting soaked with my tears. "I don't want to just continue on as if nothing had happened..." I soon drifted off to sleep again. Unlike last time, it was a dreamless sleep.
