I think the universe knew I needed a break because it was finally Saturday.

Which meant Geoff's party.

Heather was picking me up so I didn't have to walk.

I was ready, I was just waiting on Heather's text to come outside.

My parents had put a lock on my bedroom window from the time I tried jumping out of it when I was 14.

But, honestly, I've snuck out more than 50 times in high school through the front door so.

I silently crept out of my room trying not to wake anyone up.

"Where are you going?" A voice behind me asked.

I turned around and saw Courtney looking at me sternly.

"None of your business," I shrugged.

"You're going to Geoff's party, aren't you?" She inquired.

"What does it matter?" I whispered.

"You can't sneak out. Mom and Dad will kill you," Courtney said wide eyed.

"No they won't because they won't find out," I grumbled.

"Fine. I won't snitch, if you bring me with you," Courtney negotiated.

"Fine. But hurry up. Heather's waiting for me outside," I sighed.

im going. courtney caught me and is demanding that i take her with me.

Courtney stepped out of her room and I dragged her outside to where Heather's car was parked.

"Why did you come, Court?" Heather asked starting up her car.

"Just wanted to know why Noah was coming," Courtney shrugged.

We drove for a while before pulling up to Geoff's mansion, which had music pumping up and flashing lights.

Geoff opened the door with a bright smile.

"Dudes! You guys made it! Y'all know the layout: I got beer in the kitchen and there's- Mocha! You changed your mind!" Geoff cheered.

"What do you mean: beer? Geoff, we can't drink," Courtney said.

"Yeah, but rules were meant to be broken," Heather grinned walking inside with me and Cody.

"Honestly, these parties are the thing I need after the week I had," I said, sitting on the kitchen counter, opening a beer.

"Noah, are you kidding me?" I heard Courtney say from the entrance of the kitchen.
