Cody

I was super happy to see that Noah was ok.

But he was most definitely drugged on some type of medicine, because, there is no way that he would soberly tell his parents about us.

I don't know what I would've done if I had lost him.

When I woke up the next morning I got a text from Noah saying that he was coming back home today.

Smiling, I ran downstairs, and wrote a note to my parents saying that I went to visit a friend. I grabbed my skateboard and rode down the street to the hospital.

I checked in, and went upstairs to Noah's room.

I peeked inside his room and saw him on his phone.

I leaned on the door a bit more, before it swung open and I fell right on face.

"Hi Codes," I heard Noah say, not even glancing up from his phone.

"Hey angel. Thought I'd come visit you one last time before your parents lock you in your room till you die," I chuckled, standing up.

"Thanks love. Also, I'm sorry for telling my parents about us without talking to you first-" I shut Noah up by pressing my lips against his without a second thought.

"I don't give a fuck about what your parents think of us. All I care about is you and me staying together," I told him, breaking our kiss.

Noah smiled softly and then looked back at his phone with a small frown.

"You're not breaking up with me, right?" I asked, tears forming in my eyes.

"What? God, no. Why would I? I'm just not in a good mood today," Noah told me.

"Oh. I can leave if you want-" I started.

"No. No, it's not you. My parents are forcing me to go to therapy. It's either that or they send me to the psych ward. Something about me trying to kill myself when I was 14," Noah said with a monotonous expression.

"Oh. Well at least you're ok," I responded, squeezing his hand.

"I guess," Noah shortly replied.

Just then, Noah's parents walked into the room.

"Hm. Hello, Cody. We weren't expecting you to be here," Noah's mom said, glancing at me.

"O-oh, hi. I'm sorry, I was just leaving. Text me later, Noah," I quickly said, smiling at Noah before I left the room.

"Bye Codes," Noah called out after me.

I grabbed my skateboard and started to make my way back home, when I got a text from Heather.

"Don't come back home. Just wait until I say to. Mom and Dad know." It read.

Oh fuck.

I am so screwed now.

Noah

"We told his parents about you two," My mom had said, closing the door.

"You did what? Why would you do that?" I asked shocked.

"His parents deserved to know. I cannot believe that you would do such a thing behind our backs. What other secrets are you keeping from your father and I?" She asked quizzically.

"Oh, stop acting like you actually care. And it's really rich of you to talk to me about lying. You guys said you were going on a business trip," I glared.

"Noah, your father and I want to go to your band concert," My mom had said.

"Oh, wow. Really?" I asked.

"Yes. We've missed so many of your events and we want to-" My mom had started.

"Well, too bad. You guys should've thought about that before you completely disregarded me as your kid," I interrupted.

"We can make up for all the time we lost-"

"I didn't lose any time." I snapped.

My parents stared at me disappointed. I glanced back at my phone, scrolling through the pictures Geoff had sent me from the party.

My mom had cleared her throat, breaking the awkward silence that had filled the room.

"Why didn't you tell us though?" My father had asked, finally speaking up.

"Because you guys haven't ever cared about me. Why would I tell you guys something this important knowing you probably wouldn't even be listening to me," I sighed.

"We always have cared about you Noah. Your mother just doesn't know how to show it to you in a way that you'd like," My dad tried saying.

"Maybe not almost killing me. I would like that," I responded sarcastically.

"Noah, I wasn't thinking in the moment," My mom answered.

She "wasn't thinking." I glared at her, and if looks could kill, I would've been charged with a homicide.

"You are actually infuriating. Do you know that? I nearly DIED. And your PATHETIC attempt of an excuse is that 'YOU WEREN'T THINKING?' Are you actually serious?" I screeched.

"Noah, I-"

"No. Fuck this and fuck you. I'm so sick of being treated like some second rate street rat. I know that I'm the younger twin, but that doesn't mean you get to treat me like absolute garbage," I hissed. "I don't need you at my concert. I have my friends who actually treat me like a fucking person. Screw you."

Just then, my phone went off with the ringtone Cody put on my phone for him.

I glanced at my phone, and I nearly passed out again when I read the message.

My parents know.

Oh no!

What's gonna happen to Cody?

Also, I completely projected myself onto Noah when he snapped at his mom. What he said are all the things I wish I could say to my mom.

But, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter!

Stay safe and hydrated!

Kisses,
Ashley🩷
