CHARLES POV

How do I keep seeing this girl. It's like the universe is trying to bring us together. Honestly, that might be the delusion speaking. Regardless, I've been seeing this not-so-mystery-mystery-girl everywhere, and I can't get her off my mind.

I had my flight home at 7:30 this morning, so I left for the airport at around 6:30. I'm not one for getting to the airport extremely early. I normally fly private, but that was unavailable so I'm on a commercial plane, first class of course. Lando has the same flight as me which is nice, and we somehow got it so we could sit across from each other.

I honestly don't sleep very much on planes, so I decided to just watch a movie - The Parent Trap - which, I honestly felt a little childish for putting that on, but it got me through the flight so I doesn't really matter how Disney of a movie it was.

We landed after about 2 hours, and I was very ready for a nap. As I'm in an Uber, I make the very dumb choice of going to look at Archie Bridgerton's sisters instagram. Stupid, stupid decision.

She is so fucking perfect.

She's a chemistry student, and seems so have a very active social life. There were pictures after pictures of her in various going out outfits, black boots, jewelry... she was everything. Fuck, she was gorgeous, and this would only make me think about her more.

This fucking girl will be the end of me.

I had to get off instagram, because holy shit. I need this girl.

Dating other drivers sibling is a big no no, is like the F1 version of bro code. I'm just going to have to keep my distance or else it will be hard for me to control myself. I mean, the urge to talk to her is so incredibly strong. Maybe I'm insane, but I'd say there are worse things I could be doing than obsessing over a girl.

I finally arrive at my apartment and crash in my couch. God, I've missed this couch. I love traveling and racing, but there is nothing more satisfying than coming home after a long race week and laying down on my couch. Well, maybe a win is more satisfying, but my point still stands.

I then get a text from my brother.

Arthur: Hey, mind if I stay at your place this Friday?

Charles: You know I'll be here, right?

Arthur: I know, but I'm getting work done at my place and need somewhere to crash, for free. So?

Charles: Yeah sure, I guess.

I put my phone down and roll my eyes. Very on brand for Arthur to mention wanting to stay somewhere for free. The kid is well off and has about 5 different girls places he could crash at, but of course he wants to stay at my fucking apartment.

I hate having people over, so I was obviously not happy about this arrangement. I love the social life and partying, but my house is my house, and I like it when it's just me occupying it.

I go back on instagram and the first thing I see is Archie posting with his sister.

I like the post.

Then I comment...
