[Kim Mansion]

The dining hall of the Kim mansion was charged with tension. The family had gathered at Mr. Kim's request, but as soon as he opened his mouth, the air turned heavy with apprehension. Mr. Kim's voice, typically a source of comfort and strength, now carried an ominous weight. "I've made a decision," he began, each word deliberate, "that will secure the future of our family. Taehyung, you will be engaged to the daughter of my childhood friend, Luna."

The room fell into a stunned silence. All the siblings looked around at each other, trying to process what they had just heard. Taehyung, sitting at the far end of the table, remained motionless. He had always been the dutiful son, the one who never questioned his father's decisions. But this......this was different.

Before Taehyung could respond, Jungkook's voice rang out, filled with disbelief and anger. "What? You can't be serious!" He pushed back his chair with a loud scrape, standing up in defiance. "You can't just decide something like this for him!"

Jin, who usually took on the role of mediator, also looked visibly disturbed. "Appa, this is a huge decision. Shouldn't Taehyung have a say in this?"

Mr. Kim's face remained stern, unyielding. "This is not a matter for discussion. This alliance is crucial for our family's future. It's not just about Taehyung-it's about all of us."

Jennie, who had always shared a special bond with Taehyung, felt tears pricking at her eyes. "Oppa," she whispered, looking at him with a mixture of hurt and pleading. "You don't have to do this. This isn't fair to you."

Rosé, usually the more reserved sister, couldn't hold back her tears any longer. "Please, don't go through with this," she cried, her voice breaking. "We need you here with us, not married off to someone you don't know."

Jungkook, fueled by a protective instinct, slammed his fist on the table. "You always do what's best for the family, but what about what's best for you, hyung? Why should you have to sacrifice your happiness for this?"

Jimin, who had been silently seething, finally spoke up, his voice calm but laced with anger. "Appa, you're asking Taehyung to give up his life, his dreams. Have you thought about what this will do to him?"

Mr. Kim's expression softened slightly, but his resolve did not waver. "I understand your concerns, but you must trust me. This is the path we must take."

J-Hope, who usually tried to find the bright side of any situation, looked down, his heart heavy. "Hyung, do you really want this? Are you okay with it?"
