1. Her office job

Let's begin........

"Keep this file here and go" told her middle aged boss Raman to her. And she knew wasn't even bothered about it where she had worked for 8 days without proper sleep.

She moved out and looked at her file. She knew again all her efforts are going to be waste.

Working on Arya food and technology for 8 years had made her experienced on how the people will behave with with you at time.rather she did not see any improvement.
When she joined the company.she probably had around 9 friends and all of them faced a lot of humiliation and criticism which made them to jump on other better jobs.
Not that she did not try,she tried to...but she believed without the hardwork there's no job in the world.
Each time she looked for other job but the problem was she could not go out of her comfort zone.this company was her comfort zone.she knew everything about it.she know how the work is going here and with time she also understand which project will pass and which will not.

To be honest Her manager Raman can't tolerate his juniors doing a better job.he did not wanted them to be better than him.whatever the proposals they make he finds the unwanted mistakes. sometimes he doesn't even read it.and head of the department is nice person,but he can't interrupt when there's already 2 managers.

There general manager vinaya who was worse than Raman.from the time she joined the company both are on the same position.sometimes she wondered why the higher officials don't want an improvement.
Their company was build in 7 different building in one compound for each departments. She always evied the employees in the 7th block building which definitely had better leaders.And looked after by CEO Sanskar Maheshwari.she applied for the job there but her seniors had problem with it due to which she could not go. But she is trying but currently there's vacancy for her as well.she is waiting for the chance.

Keeping all the thoughts aside she stepped inside her home.
Where grandmother was bedridden.and her father feeding her water.
Her grand mother was the nicest person in her world.after her mom left it was her grand mother who looked after her,one day slipped due to some water and from then she was bed ridden. With passing day her condition got worse and doctors left her case. May be she was in her last days but Ragini did not wanted that.she wanted her dadi to gets back to normal,she wanted her children's too get her dadi's love.
Her father has a small grocery shop near her home.he looks after her grand mother. She has a younger brother who is in other state living in a hostel and preparing for UPSC. It was her world.
And yup, she once was in a relationship with a guy but he broke up with her and got married to someone who belonged his caste.after that her love life was on pause. Her father got relation for her but things did not go well.

She was feeding dinner to her dadi.
Dadi:I have become burden to you all.hai na?
Ragini:no dadi.never think like that.but in fact it's us who can't give proper time to you.
Dadi:bura nahi manogi if I say something.
Ragini looked at her:bilkul nahi.
Dadi:get your father remarried.
Ragini looked on.
Dadi:I know it is difficult for you.but think about your father if you and your brother settle down.your father would be lonely.
Ragini:you are with us no dadi..
Dadi:kya pata..how many days,or hours or minutes I left in this world.but consider my words.
Ragini was silent she did not interrupt because her dadi would still continue saying it no matter what.
Dadi caresses her cheeks:today you did not tell me what happened in your office.
Ragini: it's same things.
Dadi:tumne bola tha kisi bade Saab ke saath kaam karni hai..Sanskar naam bataya tha na.
Ragini:I have no hopes dadi..mein soch Rahi hoon ki mein dusri job dhoond loon.
Dadi smiles:if God wills,he himself would come and invite you to work with him. He would recognise how capable my grand daughter is..
Ragini smiles:I am not a celebrity. If I am on the ground floor,he is in the 50th floor.
Dadi: don't forget he would have started from ground itself.
Ragini:may be but now he is too far.he can't come below to find me.
Dadi smiles caressing her face:but I will pray.
Ragini smiles.

Dadi:give lots of love to your brother.he is working hard as well.i wish my children get everything they want and deserve.
Ragini:wait I will video call him.
Her brother speaks to her grand mother through the video call.
Ragini watched her.
After the call..
Her father comes:Maa you should sleep now.
Dadi nods.
Ragini holds her hand.

A guy is seen watching the stars outside the glass window sipping a coffee and turns to his table and as the file is being saved.
He was Sanskar Maheshwari,The CEO of Arya foods and technology.
He heard the knock.
It was Raman with his faint smile.
Sanskar asks him to sit.

Raman:Sir, I am Raman Kumar from production department under Karan Mehra sir.actually I heard about the new product through the auditing team. With lot of difficulties I found you sir. Then I heard that today you would be in the office working extra hours.
Sanskar looks at him:did you ask Mr. Mehra before coming here.
Raman:no sir, actually....
Sanskar:okay. Tell me your purpose..
Raman:I wanted to work with you sir. Since I heard about the product.i started to work on that...
He forwards the file:here is my plan..
Sanskar takes the file:I will look into this and let you know.
Raman:sir if you like it..
Sanskar smiles:we will surely work together.
Raman smiles:Thank you so much sir.

Raman moves out with a smile and when he heard of New product of Indian food for international,he remembered a Ragini's proposal which was submitted to him some 8 months back when they had to collaborate for another company.he rejected it then. He found the criteria's matched here.and did not wanted to leave the opportunity to get 6 figure salary.

Ragini moved to her dadi's room with tray of food and kept it aside and pulled the curtains:wake up dadi.you should have your breakfast and medicines.
She was about to move out listening her phone ringtone.but stopped,something really stopped her and she turned towards her dadi.only to find her still sleeping.
She moved and hold her hands which was very cold.she called out:dadi...dadi...
Listening her panicking her father entered the room.only to find her crying.
He literally stopped there as tears made ways in his eyes.

This was supposed to be a one shot and posted on arviabhigya 's birthday but due to some glitch I couldn't post on watty and later I was quite busy with my personal stuff..here I am posting this as a short story which will be updated regularly since it's already written and ready...
