Nah, I seem to have a bad history with word brother itself

The previous part ended with everyone going to sleep and Yao thinking Zhi being sweet person and decides not be petty

So, let's continue with new  day.

As soon as the sun is up, the ZGDX's manager and coach arrive to wake the members like always. But what they saw surprised them. They saw that everyone was already awake and having breakfast. Zhi, who was coming towards the entrance saw them and greets the.

Zhi: "Good morning, Rui and Ming. Do have the breakfast I made it specially for u both since u have been working behind them so tirelessly. I apologize I cannot join u both since I have to go to hospital but do enjoy and work hard of course not too hard."

Ming and Rui both become happy seeing her care and smile at her.

Ming: "Thank u for ur care and effort, Zhi. But u didn't need to do this. U urself are very busy."

Rui: "Yes, do have proper rest. And thank for ur delicious but healthy food."

Zhi smiles and says, "My pleasure. Now since I'm living here, I need to do something to return the favour right." Ming and Rui leave to have breakfast while Zhi turns to leave.

Zhi was about to leave when she remembers something and calls out Ming and says: " Also Ming since I'm here, I would like to treat ur injury. Though it can't be completely cured, it can be healed a bit. Enough for u to be able to guide the others by playing for 30 mintues or so. But don't ever push ur limit lest ur condition worsens." 

Ming looks at her with gratitude and says: "If so, Then thank u so much Zhi. And never hesitate to ask me for help or lean on me in times of difficulty. Especially when u want someone with u but Cheng is not around, U can always count on me. And this I'm saying as a brother cuz I always wanted a sister like u. So may I have the honor of being ur brother?"

Listening this, Zhi's eyes turn moist and filled with appreciation and also pain. Ming notices it and asks worriedly: "Why are ur eyes reflecting pain? Did I hurt u by chance? It's okay if u don't want me to be ur brother but don't cry. I am sorry." Zhi calms down and says in a mocking way, "I had prefer u to be my knight in shining armour or my 2nd best friend, but brother? Nah, I seem To have a bad history with the word brother itself." She smiles and says, "So, from today I will call u My knight. And u shall be my 2nd best friend, ok?"

Ming smiles and nods his head. Then Zhi leaves from there. Ming comes to dining table and sees everyone eating. He joins them but is distracted by the conversation he had just now with Zhi. Cheng notices that Ming is distracted and asks him, "Ming, r u okay? U seem distracted and r not even focusing on the food made by Zhi specially for u. As u r the one who praises and likes the food made by her the most, after me of course."(Men, Cheng's being narcissist and possessive 🤥)

Ming comes out of trance and sees Cheng and in serious but concerned tone asks, "Cheng, Who actually is Zhi? What is her past? What about her family? Why does she sometimes seem as if she has suffered way too much?" These questions coming especially from Ming shocks not only others but also Cheng and K, the two aloof and loner members of their team.

Cheng (in an equally serious tone): "Why are u asking these? Did something happen to Zhi or did she say something to u or did u notice or see Zhi being unusual and strangely sad?" These did not answer his question, but it did give him clarification that Zhi sure had a painful past. Ming replied: "No, but when I asked her to think of me as her brother as I always wanted a sister like her she told me that her past with the word brother itself is very bad. So, I guess she had a painful past and apparently it is somehow connected to a person who she thought of as brother, am I right Cheng?"

Cheng sighed and said: "I'm not sure" Everyone was shocked as they had seen how close Cheng and Zhi were in the past few weeks. Cheng continued: "When we first met, I was just 10 while she and Lu Yue were 7 years old. But compared to Yue or even me, Zhi always seemed as matured as an adult who had experienced half of the worse things life can ever go through. It took her almost a year to open up a little bit to me. But I never knew what her past was. But it seems she is very comfortable around u, Ming. Becuz what she told u today just after knowing u for few week, She told me after knowing me for a year and half."

Listening all this, everyone was sad but there was one person who had mixture of emotions on his face sadness, guilt and self-criticism. K spoke up: "It must've not only hurt her but would have broken her and her trust on others totally if she a painful past with a person whom she trusted the most but he left her alone and never came back to her." Everyone was again shocked to hear such words that also from K while had a very complex emotion on his face.

(It seems that today is a day full of shocks for these people....😅)

They decide to not talk about it in front of Zhi as it might remind her of her pain and then went to practice. But 3 people were not at all focused in the practice match, they are Cheng, Ming and K. Though theywon their matches and Ming did not need to provide any pointer, they were just thinking why is still not telling me about her past, what she could have suffered, it must be very painful to bear such a pain or say betrayal, respectively.

In the hospital, Zhi was sitting in her cabin and thinking about her conversation with Ming and getting glimpses of her childhood where she was shouting in childish voice, "where are u big bro, why did u leave Zhi here alone??" Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. She composes herself and asks the person to come in.

A nurse enters the ward and says: "Dr. Zhi Dr. Mo is calling u."

Zhi: "Oh.. ok, by the way where is he?" The nurse replies, "He is in his cabin. He just finished a surgery and will be having his meal." Zhi: " Ok. Thank u." The nurse smiles and goes.

Zhi looks at her watch and sees it's already 5:45 p.m. And thinks 'Dr. Mo must have had a long day. I might as well give him my tiffin as I'll be leaving now at least he can have some nutritious food.' She packs her stuff and goes to Mo's cabin. She was about to open the door when someone opened it from inside and she fell on the top of the person and becuz of losing balance they both fell on ground with Zhi on top of the person. Zhi looks at the person who is a tall and fair man and they seem to be lost in each other's eyes and come out of their dreamland when Mo and one more person come towards them and help them to stand.

Zhi and the man apologize to each other. Zhi asks Mo through her eyes who are they. As if understanding her question, the man introduces himself, "I'm sorry for that. I'm Lee Kun Hyeok. And this is my friend, Sang Yan (pointing towards the person who came to help them along with Mo). I came here with friend as he has not been feeling good and his heartbeats used to suddenly get too fast. " Hyeok thinks to himself ' why is he explaining this to her.' And Sang Yan looks at him as if he is seeing him for the first time and thinks 'He is behaving so unusual. He never explains anything to anyone then why is he explaining this to her whom he doesn't even know.' 

Lee Kun Hyeok and Sang Yan leave from there while Zhi gives her tiffin to Mo and says: "Eat this. It more healthy and i've made it myself. Bye, everyone must be waiting for me." Mo nods and Zhi leaves.

Zhi reaches ZGDX and gets fresh since everyone was busy playing. She sees them play and goes towards Mao's side and gives him some tips. Everyone gets shocked when they see her saying professionally about the game. She tells them she sometimes plays it and says, "Let's eat I'm hungry."

Everyone goes to sleep after eating. But Zhi is still thinking, 'Lee Kun Hyeok, was it? though he had worn a mask his eyes were attractive.' And on the other side Lee Kun Hyeok was thinking about Zhi too.
