"YOU'RE SO PRETTY." remus smiles, putting his phone into his pocket, as the girl approaches him, the two having found the room of requirement.
giggling, elsie sits down beside him, "thank you. you're quite pretty yourself, lupin." her head falls onto his shoulder as the two bask in each other's presence.
"we should do this more often," he presses a kiss to the top of her head. "spend time, just you and i."
"i would like that," elsie smiles as she feels remus's hand wrap around her, toying with the hem of shirt. "since summer we haven't been alone much. only during rounds really."
his hand slips up her shirt, resting on her back, "i like being alone with you." his head dips into her neck, lips connecting with the soft skin.
"yeah?" she sighs contentedly, heart fluttering at the feeling of his lips against her skin, "i like it, too."

at breakfast the next day, the ravenclaw girl sits beside lila, across from the girl's twin brother.
"HOLY SHIT!" jackson laughs, "who mauled your neck, mackay?"
his words confuse the two girls, and catch the attention of pandora, sitting on the other side of lila. "he's right," pandora's voice softly flutters, "it looks like you got attacked."
"i wasn't fucking attacked, idiots," elsie rubs her neck as lila just laughs, "i'm assuming they're hickies. that idiot."
the blonde's friends continue to laugh as elsie catches remus's eyes. he takes note of her appearance and cracks a smirk, mouthing a 'sorry.' rolling her eyes, elsie mouths back, 'no you're not.'
she looks at the girl sitting next to her, "can you please help me cover it?"
"yeah," lila sighs, standing up and pulling her friend with her, "we have to be quick, though."
the two rush out of the great hall, elsie with her hands covering her neck.
"i'm actually gonna kill him later, you don't understand."
"has he made it official yet?" lila asks as the two make it to their dorm.
"no," elsie sighs, "and i don't really think he will. he hasn't yet and it's almost been a year of whatever this is. and it's not like he's seeing anyone else, either. we're literally both only seeing each other."
the blonde looks down at her hands, "it's whatever, though. at least i have him."
"that's one way to think about it," lila mutters under her breath, "i think he should just man up and ask you out. pretty much everyone knows you guys are together. you're not as sneaky as you think."
"that's not true," elsie musters up, "i know that sirius and peter don't know, james isn't stupid, so he's probably figured it out. you only say that because you know about us. we are good at sneaking around." she sighs, "even if i hate that we do."
"yeah, i guess," lila shakes her head, "it's not my place any way. i just think you deserve someone who wants to be seen with you."
