Harry Hook had never seen anyone like her. She appeared on the isle, out of thin air, and changed his life forever. She was his treasure that he had been searching for all his life and he only realised while helping her search for hers.

The next day was an important one- it was the day that Ben would announce his first proclamation as he prepares for his coronation.
After helping Ben out, with finding a pin for his coronation suit, he has been recruiting me to help him more and more with his plans. I had never been held in such high regard before.
It was still early when I got a knock on my dorm room and I realised just how much Ben wanted my help.
"Ben" I say as I open the door and see him pacing outsides my room.
"Maren" he says as he sees me "could I come in?" He asks
"Umm.... Sure" I say as he smiles and quickly walks into my room.
I close the door behind him in confusion
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" I ask with a laugh as I work on putting in my earring
"Well to be honest I'm not sure why I am here" he admits as he sits in one of the armchairs I have in the centre of my room.
"Well... I can't say that I can help you much there then" I say as I sit in one opposite to him with a laugh.
He sighs as he laughs with me, but it's clear that he is very stressed
I finish putting my earring in before I turn to him and I place my hand on his shoulder.
"Ben, you will be brilliant" I reassure as the nervous boy looks at me "All you have to do is announce your proclamation and then go about the rest of your day" I say with a smile "easy" I say
"Yeah... easy" he repeats before he looks at me "well, not really"
I raise my eyebrow at him
"You see I'm worried that my proclamation might be the problem" he tells me "it might cause a bit of a.... Ruckus" he admits
"A.... 'Ruckus'?" I repeat "how big of a ruckus are we talking about?" I ask
"A big one" he admits with a big sigh "I don't know what to do and I can't ask my parents as they will tell me not to do it"
"So you are asking me?" I ask him in shock "Ben you are a dear friend, but couldn't you have asked someone who you are closer with- your girlfriend perhaps?" I ask
"I needed an unbiased opinion" he says and I waver before I nod, noting how much this means to him and deciding just to listen
"Well then... go for it" I say "if you're sure that is"
He nods "I wanted to tell you what my first proclamation is so that you can give me the peoples opinion" he says
"No pressure then" I say with a laugh
He breaths before speaking "for my first proclamation I've decided that the children on the isle of the lost be given a chance to live here- in Auradon" he says
The statement takes my breath away.
I stare at him in complete shock.
"Well?" He asks me
I open and close my mouth
"They deserve a chance- it was their Parents who wronged us not them... I..I think it will be good-"
"It's amazing" I tell him as a smile graces my lips
"Y..you think so?" He asks me
"Yes Ben!" I say with a smile as I grab his arm "those children did nothing wrong and they deserve a chance to live in a good environment, the isle is a place full of people stealing and violence. On ever corner you don't know whether you are going to get mugged or get into a fight-"
"Wow, I had no idea that you knew so much" he says with a smile that wavers mine
"Yes, well, so I've read" I add with a small, uncomfortable, chuckle.
"Do you have any idea which children you will bring over first?" I ask, trying to change the subject
"I thought that we would start with four- something that we can add to over time" he says as I encourage him with a nod "I thought the children of Cruella, Jafar, evil queen and Maleficent would be a good start"
I nod, but my smile dips as I realise Harry is not on the list.
"That sounds great Ben" I whisper, my mood being slightly dampened "I am sure that you are doing the right thing, even if some people might disagree" I smile sadly
"Thank you for listening" he says as he hurriedly stands "I feel so much better now" he smiles
I stay sitting as my sad smile sits on my face.
"Well I'm glad I helped" I say, honestly
"I will see you later? I was hoping that you would get in some photographs I was planning on having taken"
I smile with a nod as he goes to walk out the door.
"Hey, Ben?" I call
He stops from pulling open the door and looks at me
"I think you will make a great King" I say with a sad smile
He smiles back "A good King is only as good as his advisors" he says back "And don't think that I have forgotten about your gift to me, I owe you one" he says as he walks off down the hall
The door closes and I let out a sigh.
