It was the middle of the school year. Winter break had just finished and everyone was starting to settle back into school. There was still snow outside, painting the grounds white with the snowflakes that fell from the cloudy sky. The high school was starting to fill with teens, everything working as usual. The sun was just rising when everyone started to arrive at around 8 am.
There was, of course the popular trio of the school. Everyone knew them as either terrifying, cool, respected, many words you can describe but no one will ever look down at them. Vox, Velvette, and Valentino walked the halls always taking up the attention of every hallway they walk down. Each of them had their own unique traits though they stuck together quite well.
No one dared to do any of them wrong and if they did, they were proved wrong, bullied, and many other misfortunes because they dared question the trio. They had many friends but they mostly were friends with each other and ignored everyone else. They mostly focused on their social status, popularity, and their power.
But...besides that they are totally chill teens!
The trio were hanging out by Vox's locker after first hour, of course gossiping and talking about the latest news of what happened to this girl or who cheated on that guy, they were up to their usual ramblings and gossips.
The bell rung, alerting that they were late for second hour. They then took their sweet time to separate to their different classes. Valentino went to art class, Velvette made her way to journaling, and Vox was on his way to math class.
Vox came in, bursting through the door basically to give off a dramatic entrance. The math teacher sighed, his eyes narrowing at Vox as he carelessly walked towards his chair.
Vox would always use the empty chair next to him as a place to rest his legs but he found that there was now a kid occupying that seat. Vox looked towards the math teacher in confusion as the teacher face palmed, his hand pointing at the new kid.
"Vox, that is the new kid, Alastor. You would've known that if you arrived more earlier young man."
Vox rolled his eyes, dragging his chair out roughly as his rested his legs on the table. As the teacher pointed at the board, showing them what to write down for as notes, Vox felt a strange glare that was glued on him. Vox looked around, finding the source of the glare to be next to him. It was the new kid. And he was looking at Vox with irritation.
"What are you looking at me like that for? Got a problem?"
Vox asked, raising an eyebrow as his head leaned down to get a closer look at the boy.
"You're disgusting you know that?"
Vox felt his eye twitch, his fists clenching from how this new kid had the balls to just say that. It wasn't everyday he would get insulted and everyone knew that, besides this new kid though. Vox already started to feel anger boil in him as the boy gave him that disrespectful glare for a few more seconds before starting to take notes.
The audacity of this kid.
Vox couldn't loose his cool this early in the morning. He took a deep breath, holding back his anger and trying to show his control without freaking out. That would be a bad look on him after all.
"Excuse me but I don't think you can call me that uh..."
"Alastor. My name is Alastor. And yes, I called you that because you have your feet on the table. Don't you have some manners? People like you utterly disgust me."
Vox could already feel his nails digging into his palms. This kid was already starting to get on his nerves. The teacher started to pass out worksheets, the classroom soon filling with kids talking either about the assignment, or anything but.
