I can't believe it. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that after all these years of preparations and training, Ben and I's coronation is just right around the corner.

During my reading of Romeo and Juliet, my favorite on the couch next to the piano. While Ben is in the back of the room getting his suit measured, Fittings for the dress concluded several weeks early, thanks to its elaborate design and high-quality material. Lost in the pages of my book, I observed Ben's profound concentration as his eyes remained fixed upon the illustration of the Isle of the Lost. A matter of great importance to both Ben and me has been the subject of our recent discussions: whether to offer children from the Isle of the Lost a chance to start anew and experience a more promising life here in Auradon.

"Sleeve"

"Head, ah."

Just as I was about to get to the part in Romeo and Juliet when Romeo found Juliet lying "dead," I heard footsteps coming our way, and I saw my mother and father walking together in hand.

"How is it possible that my children are going to be crowned king and queen next month? You're just a baby!"

"They're turning 16, dear."

"Hey, Pops," Ben and I said at the same time.

"16? That's far too young to be crowned king or queen. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42," he says jokingly.

"Uh, you decided to marry me at 28," Mom says, clearly unimpressed and offended. As I walk closer to my father.

"Ah, it was either you or the teapot."

"Kidding," Dad says, looking at me with his eyes rolling jokingly.

"Mom, Dad, Rose."

He started to go closer to Dad, trying to be professional, but the designer could not let him move since he was in the middle of getting his bottom half done.

"Ah," the designer stopped him so he wouldn't have to keep repeating the same measurements that he needed to do.

"I've chosen my first official proclamation. I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon."

I looked at Ben with confusion. We have only talked about the Isle of the Lost a few times and were thinking about the children of the Isle and wondering if we should let them live here. We never agreed to anything yet.

"Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned," He said as he walked away, getting closer to where we were standing, the designer accepting defeat.

"The children of our sworn enemies living among us," Dad says suspiciously, as he does not trust the idea of VK's living here.

"We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them."

I stayed quiet, not knowing what to think. I'm not mad at him for starting this discussion. I'm mad that we didn't make this decision together, and that we didn't choose the kids together, and just talked to me about it.

"Have you?" Dad says about to argue with Ben without letting Ben get a word in.

Mother wanted to hear the whole thing, so she interrupted.

"I gave you a second chance." Looks at Dad, then looks at Ben.

"Who are their parents?" She asked

"Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Evil Queen." Ben took a really big pause, I could sense that he was scared of what our parents would say if he said the other parent.
