After eating, Chan warned them not to go in the water until after 30 minutes, which was definitely not a real thing, but they obeyed and ended up playing a game of volleyball and building sand castles.
Once they were finally allowed back in the water, they were the only ones on this side of the beach. The weather wasn't bad, but it was getting cloudy. Chan seemed to notice and check the time before calling out to those who just got back in the water.
"Hey guys! We will stay for about another hour and then we need to head out!" There were a couple of whines, but no one disagreed.
"Hyung, come swim with us! I brought the floaties." Jeongin begged. Minho, on the other hand, was not having it. "I don't wanna. Go pester someone else." He waved the other off eventually and turned onto his stomach resting his head on his crossed arms.
"While you sleep the day away I am going to go for a swim." Jisung stated, getting a groan from the older.
Jisung joined the others in the water after almost being tackled during a game of chicken he decided to go a little further for some peace. He didn't go too far, just enough to float on his back and relax.
It felt like he was only there for a mere few minutes, but apparently it had been almost an hour. He could faintly hear Chan shouting at everyone to get out of the water and dry off so they could pack up. He sighed and rolled over so he could swim back. He hadn't realized that he floated a little farther out then where he originally started and groaned at how thoughtless he was.
He watched as the others slowly exited the water and dried off. They also managed to get Minho up and about as he was picking up the balls and random items they had scattered on the sand. No one realized he was still in the water yet and for that he was grateful, since Chan would probably yell at him for going too far.
He finally managed to reach the spot he was originally at before floating away, when a sudden pain surged through his leg. He winced and stopped kicking for a moment. He had one arm on his leg as he tried to stay on top of the water with one leg and one arm keeping him up.
That in fact, did not keep him up. He felt the head go under the water for a moment before he kicked hard enough to get back up. There was a brief moment of fresh air before his body tugged him down again. He crouched down hoping the pain would suffice long enough for him to swim back, but it wasn't. He was going to drown. He was going to die here. Why did he go so far? Why did he not listen? Why did it have to end this way?
He couldn't keep going back up and he was starting to lose focus. He couldn't even yell as his body was freezing up. He was getting less and less air by the second and after one last attempt of filling his lungs, there was no more. His eyes closed as he heard a mumbled shout before his head was fully submerged and everything around him went silent and black.
Back on the shore, everyone else had officially gotten out of the water and was drying off.
"Make sure everything gets put back up, we don't want to leave any trash." Chan demanded. No one noticed anything unusual, like a missing member until Chan made everyone do a buddy yell.
Starting with Chan, "Buddy!", followed by Felix, "Here!. Changbin "Buddy!", Seungmin "Here!", Hyunjin, "Buddy!" Jeongin "Here!", Minho "Buddy!", Jisung "...".
Minho looked up from what he was doing and called out for Jiusng again, but still got no response.
"Did he go to the bathroom?" Changbin asked. They all looked around.
"His shoes are still here so I don't think so." Chan held up his shoes that were left when he got into the water.
Felix happened to look out into the water. There was a figure bobbing up and down with splashing that was getting slower. "Jisung!"
