Rafe Cameron, pretty guy with an ugly personality. is what everyone would say on the island no matter what side they were on that's the only thing that the kooks and pogues would agree on.

And that's also what you thought when you first moved to the island but slowly you started getting to know him more and more each time you guys would go out together to restaurants, the park, Shopping, Surfing you name it you two became inseparable and obviously you started developing feelings for him each time. Even though your relationship was strictly platonic you always wondered if there was something there I mean he treated you like a princess but he never really showed interest in you at the same time. You were sure he was head over heels for Sofia he would always look at her some type of guy that you could see a spark in his eyes or how he would light up when she came into a room.

You always tried to ignore ur feelings because you didn't wanna risk ruining the friendship it was too special for you and it was too big of a risk.

He texted you an hour ago asking if you wanted to hang out and ofc you said yes so now you were getting ready and finishing up your makeup when he texted you asking if you were ready you replied with I'm almost done to which he responded with I'll be there in 10min then
You read it and continued finishing up ur make up.

10min later he texted you telling you he was outside you out on your shoes and opened the front door and you saw him there. Helmet on and him leaning on his motorcycle with his arms crossed making his biceps more noticeable.

"Took you long enough"He spoke up slowly walking up to you with another helmet in his hand.

"Yeah sorry abt that I just couldn't find my shoes" you lied the truth is that you wanted to look good today not just for him but because you felt like putting your self out there and not being stuck thinking abt a guy that you probably won't have a chance with.

He hades you the helmet and you put it on.you got in the bike and put your hands around his waist. He didn't tell you where you guys were going but you honestly didn't care because you're with him.

You finally get to your destination and see it's a small park next to the beach with a bunch of trees surrounding it. He grabs your hand and drags you into this place that was kind of hidden in the park it's in between a bunch of trees there is a lake in there and a wooden picnic table next to it with a bunch of different fruits and snacks.

"What's all of this?" You asked

"Just a little something i did for us I thought you might like it I brought a bunch of your favorite foods"He said with a proud smile on his face while walking to sit at the table

"This is really nice thank you, but why?"you questioned while following him and sitting down too. you didn't want to think much of it since your relationship was strictly platonic. He was probably just feeling generous you thought not wanting to get your hopes up.

"Idk just feeling generous ig"He replied with. exactly what you were expecting.

You guys joked around and finished eating your food. You guys to some pictures and when you were done you sat next to him and stared at the lake admiring its beauty just like his.

"Thank you Rafe, no one has ever done this for me" you said with a smile

"Of course that's what I'm here for"he replied putting his arm around u and kissing your head

You guys finished talking and headed back to your place. You guys went up to your room and put on a movie. You told him that would be right back and went to the kitchen to make some popcorn for you guys to eat you out the
Popcorn in the microwave and waited for it to be done and which left you with nothing but your thoughts.

Thoughts about what would happen if you told him how you felt and if he even felt the same and overthinking the whole picnic you just had. Was it just a friendly thing or did we have something more then that- the microwave beeped scaring you out of you thoughts. You put the popcorn in a bowl and went back to your room and saw him smiling at his phone which made you feel a bit sad and it cringed you out because you couldn't shake your feelings away and the other night of him smiling because of some other girl just made you upset which is dumb to even think about cause ur not even together.

You guys ended up falling asleep mid way through the movie with you head on his chest and his arms around your waist but of course it's just platonic, A thing friends do... right?
