Now before you think im depressed or whatever, let me explain. At five years old my parents sat me down with a smile that almost scared me. "Were having another baby! Youre gonna be a big sister!" Those were the last words I heard before i pulled out my machette and became an orphan. Just kidding bro, im not like other girls, i have humor lolz. Being an older sister was a lot harder than i expected. Since our age gap is about five years we have a hard time getting along, atleast we never fought over each others toys... Anyways, today im 18 and my little sister is 13. At her age its normal to develop obsessions that only last a few weeks, but this one lasted a year now. Ever since she heard of the band "One Distraction" it became her personality. So when she found out about the "Pure Distraction Tour" she went feral. Her and her little minions (friends) share the same obsession and would spend hours planning their outfits and how they could get noticed. I never understood the hype. I dont listen to that kind of music, but i have to admit, once you remember the tiniest bit of a song, there is no chance of you getting it out of your head. Their song "Honey You Illuminate The World Like No One Different" is one of their most famous hits and imprinted in everyones head, whether you like it or not. Last month they were titled the most popular boy band of the USA and Europe. But what really makes them popular is their looks. I wont go into too much detail but theres the drummer, bass guitarist, e-guitarist and the lead singer Bryan Woods who also plays the keyboard. You can probably guess who the most popular and loved one is (yes, its Bryan). I have to say, unlike other bands they actually are charming and still young, wich makes fans think they actually have a chance of dating a member. My sister loves to mention how close they are with their fans and how caring Bryan is.... Okay, enough about the band now. Im not a fan, i even think its silly how crazy fans get when it comes to them. They are overrated in my opinion, its ridiculous. Whenever i hear something about one distraction i cant help but roll my eyes. Even worse, my sister knows and tortures me with their music. "Charly! Mom says you have to come." My sister suddenly yells from her room. Ugh fine. I get up and slowly waddle over to her. My mom and Abby (my sister) are sitting on the bed, so i join them. "We were just talking about Abbys concert, one direction?" "Ugh mom, its 'one distraction'!" "Ah right, that makes more sense..", my mom whispers. I smirk. "So apparently none of Abbys friends moms can come to the concert. They also think its not that big of a deal.. But from what ive read in the news it would be too dangerous for them to go alone." I think i already know where this is going. "Mom thought you could come with us." Abby says with a dramatic frown. I sigh but then raise my eyebrows as i remember i dont have a ticket. "Ehm okay, how will they let me in? I dont have a ticket!" "Well originally your little cousin was gonna come, we had bought a second ticket for her. A friend of hers had also bought one for her and now we have a spare.. wich you could use!" What a coincidence. Im so mad, why always me! Knowing that i dont really have a choice, i storm into my room without saying a word. I hop on my bed and see my angry reflection in the mirror in front of me, then i realize how cringe i look so i stop. In the back of my mind i know its pretty cool that im going to a concert of one of the biggest boy bands. But obviously im not too happy about it either. Ill be surrounded by girls screaming their heads off. And if im the only one not singing, dancing or shouting, ill look like the weird one. To be honest id be mad too if a hater came to my favorite bands concert. Do you know how hard it is to get a ticket for those? They get sold out within minutes! So a poor fan lost their chance to finally see their favorite artist to a person that doesnt even appreciate their music? I feel kinda bad now. But then again, im not an actual hater. Its pretty lame to get so upset over other music tastes... Im not like that.
