I know it may seem all of the sudden but this is the FINAL chapter of The Ulvaeus Family🥰

Years passed and family grew... It was safe to say the ABBA story was far from over, but as years went, they kept their profile low. In 2008 Mama Mia: The Movie premiered and in 10 years it was followed by its sequel Mama Mia: Here We Go Again! In 2016 ABBA returned into the recording studio and recorded their highly anticipated album Voyage! It took years, especially due to Covid19 pandemic. First, they only intended to record two songs, but then the inspiration was too big, and they decided to simply do a whole album. They decided to do something even more exceptional and made a virtual concert ABBA Voyage in London and it reached incredible success, inspiring other musicians to do the same...

Now it was already more than 2 years since ABBA Voyage premiered and on 31.5.2024 ABBA were rewarded the commanders of the royal Vasaorden for their contributions to music both in Sweden and worldwide. Years before they received another great accomplishment when they were added into the Rock'n'roll Hall of fame. Now though, they were facing new adventures. Even though they said it was very unlikely for them to do an album together ever again, they'll do it again... It will be a very different album though... They'll do an album with their grandchildren...

"Mormor..." Tilda gave her grandmother a hug. She missed her very much! She was already 23 years old and now she lived with her boyfriend in Stockholm. "Hej min lilla stjärna," Agnetha gave her granddaughter a kiss on the forehead, softly caressing her not yet visible baby bump. Only she and Frida knew for now. It would remain a secret for a little while more, but Tilda couldn't be more excited! Lily, Anders, Anna and Claes were excited for their new niece just as much as Esther and Signe were! (Signe was named after her auntie...) Lotta and Christian welcomed Elsa and Estelle and the twins were happy to participate in the album too! It was crazy all ABBA grandchildren were getting so big already. The album was recording in only 2 weeks, and it was a real masterpiece. They decided in the end to involve ABBA children too and it became one big family album. Everyone was happy with the result, and it was a great ABBA farewell. This was one last goodbye to their music careers and public life. They were already all in their 70s and hopefully they could live their lives in peace from now on.

"Are you sure about that mama?" Linda asked her mother. "I'm... We all are..." Agnetha admitted. Their lives were so full of love and none of them coulod deny that, but they felt that even here at Ekerö, surrounded by family, they couldn't enjoy the peace they needed. They decided to retreat north to very secluded northern part of Norway and find their peace there. Just the four of them... Their children and some of their grandchildren were already grown up and there was no need for them to stay there anymore... Of course, they'd still visit each other and be in touch... They'd never truly leave their family, but this was the decision they took together, and they were happy with it... It simply seemed right... finally having some peace and quiet, while still enjoying making music together.

"When do you leave?" Lotta asked her mama. "Tomorrow morning... we'll leave very early though love... We may not be here anymore by the time you wake up darling..." Frida admitted. "When will you leave mama?" Lotta repeated her question. "At 3.00 AM," was Frida's answer and the three other friends nodded. They decided this more than a month ago already. Everything was ready and they just needed to get some more sleep before driving up north... Lotta nodded and after a little dinner they all went to bed, everyone making sure their alarms were on. It may only be 5.30 PM, but they needed to get at least few hours of sleep!

It was just past 3.00 AM and the whole family was gathered outside Agnetha's house at Ekerö. In only couple minutes, their parents/grandparents/great grandparents/friends/uncles and aunts/... will leave for at least some time... Their lives will change, but they couldn't fault them... they've done more than enough, and they deserved to live the rest of their lives in peace...

Benny and Björn sat in the front with Agnetha and Frida in the back. The family said their final goodbyes and farewells, hugging for way longer than usual and many tears were shed. They waved each at each other, telling each other they'd see each other soon. The four friends waved at their family one last time and the family waved back as they drove away and disappeared into the sunrise...
