FLASHBACK

2 hours earlier

Leo and I were busy talking about park related issues in the pack meeting room when Bronze ,my wolf, got alert.I changed my sitting posture and put up the barrier so Leo wouldn't be able to hear.

"What is it Bronze? I'm busy with Alpha." I asked him .

"There are traces of magic around the pack house.Leo has the strongest smell."

~Magic~

But how, I surveyed each and every nook and cranny of the pack house.

"It seems the magic dome barrier has been infiltrated. There is an attack that is going to happen later today.Make sure Wrenley is not hurt.War is coming ! " Bronze said in an alarmed tone.

"War! "I blurted out ...practically shouted.Leo looked taken aback

"What in tarnation is going on ?You have blocked me from your thoughts .Spill now.And it's not a request it's and order."

Leo was furious.His black vains were starting to show. I couldn't hold myself .As beta, I was obligated to tell the truth.

"Bronze can sense a magical presence in the atmosphere. He says there is going to be a war later today ."

I left the part of him having the strongest smell out cause I wanted to have my own private investigation without him being suspicious or alert.

"War! What! Who! How! Where ! I want names Lennox and I want them fast!"

"But Leo......"

"No buts Beta and for this matter you will address me as Alpha !Are we clear Beta Lennox?"

" Clear Alpha Leo" I replied .I could feel Leo's wolf Julian at the surface begging me to come out .

" Looks like someone needs a tissue cause there's family trauma."

". Shut the hell up bronze! You should be getting into Alpha's issues. " I scolded

" No seriously, Julian is going mad inside here he is literally fuming. " Bronze said

" Well then next time take it slow and break the news slowly so we won't be in this situation. AGAIN. " I told him

" GO. CALL. WRENLEY. " A deep voice broke my intimate conversation with Bronze.I got up and dashed,out of the room and before I went to her , Leo's deep voice broke my thoughts...

" Wrenley! Are you there? Wren! Where are you?" I called .

"Be there in a sec."She replied, her sweet,angelic voice calming my nerves .

My sharpened sense allowed me to hear her steps as she walked towards me lost in her thought.I purposely stood infront of her and like a dart that hits the 20 mark, she hit my chest right on queue.

" Going somewhere princess?Your brother is looking for you and by his tone,what he wants to tell you is really urgent and important so you better chuck. "

I let the statement linger in the auras she struggled to figure out who it was. She guessed it and looked at me. I tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. The thought of her pink rosy red lips on mine lingered in my mind. I was so tempted to mark her there and then but I left it for later. We went to the pack meeting room and they talked with Leo. I wasn't concentrating on what Leo was saying, but what caught my attention was when he said she could find her mate there .All those boys in the Bloodwar pack were ugly.She only deserved and the best was ME✨.

A low growl escaped my throat and Leo sent a warning growl my way. At the corner of my eye, I saw Wren giggling.Her laughter was just soothing.

I already knew I was going to Lithuania in the United Kingdom. Since Leo had given me the privilege to book our flights.I took the liberty of booking one room: on bed just so she can squeel in her thoughts and groan in her senses.Wrenley and I I went to her room so I could get to know her but she ended up having a panic attack so I had to give her her inhaler . I ended up telling her about me knowing of her little scavenger hunt at 3:00 a.m.

I fled the scene to avoid any further questioning.She decided to follow me after changing into something that suits her figure . Her pearl earrings glimmered at the corner of my eye and that's what gave her away.I pinned her a second after she got into my room. She was so daring that she kissed me. I was shocked but I pulled her close by the waist pacing my hand at the small of her back. We broke the cause I was pounding at the door and I was fresh out of breathe.

Leo and I talked about the planned attack and the faint smell of cinnamon.After our conversation,Wrenley refused to talk to me and went to her room atleast I think. The attack started right after she left . We all tiptoed to the ballroom while shifting into our werewolf forms. Bronze was itching to come out I could feel him rising to the surface. My chocolate brown fur covered my body swiftly and I blinked a few times so that Bronze could see. We were walking behind Wrenley, her heart beating frantically.Jer steps light and silent. We were in for the battle of the century.As we reached the bottom of the hallway, an arrow , coated with wolfsbane was shot straight to Wrenley. The arrow had a note stuck on it. Bronze read it to Julian, Leoand I. We were starstruck after hearing the news.Bronze put all his effort into making sure Wrenley wasn't hurt by the arrow.

Unfortunately, she was hurt but luckily she isn't a wolf. I on the other hand ,was getting drunk on the smell of wolfsbane. It even reached a point where I could bare it so I went back to the fight. A silver glint kept glowing from the distance every now and then but everytime I would get close to it , it would disappear. It's as if it was invisible.I saw the mysterious person.It was a girl . She was mimicking Leo's moves , following him close behind. The black boots
didn't give her away at all.Whoever she was , she was skilled. I closed my eyes and dived into Leo's mind . We let Julian and Bronze continue fighting and be in full sync with each other.

We continued questioning who silver was. We had nicknamed her after seeing how much she loved that knife of hers. Bronze was busy biting the neck of a rogue wold, when a loud heartbeat stopped both Bronze and I in our tracks. Wrenley's heart rate was going fast...too fast.I could feel the blood pumping in her veins and arteries.It was too much for her. Her heart rate was worse then her blood pump. A loud thud echoed once was a ballroom battle field. She had blacked out at the same time as Julian's unmistakable roat was heard behind me. His heart was beating erratically. He had been stabbed in the thigh with silver.I twisted my neck to see him fall on the ground with a growland his thigh squirting blood everywhere.Th pain was too much that Bronze couldn't take it. His connection with Julian and Wrenley was too strong . Bronze took it to liberty to take a way some of their pain and by son eI mean all of their pain.

My eye lids were getting heavier but the minute. I wasn't going to give in to the darkenness.I was getting stronger and stronger, the temptation to shift into my human form was calling to me in a calming whisper. I gave in , the strong winds that came from the shattered windows blew Silver's hood of.Her black hair and thin lips gave her away instantly. It was Mackenzie. My only question was '' WHY?' and I blacked out .
