Soonyoung, the CEO of Starlight Entertainment, stood at the floor-to-ceiling windows of his office, gazing out at the city skyline. His mind was consumed by the upcoming launch of their new artist, but his thoughts kept drifting back to his personal assistant, Seokmin.
Seokmin had been by his side for three years, anticipating his every need, and Soonyoung couldn't imagine his life without him. But lately, he'd started to notice the way Seokmin's eyes sparkled when he smiled, the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck...
As he turned back to his desk, Seokmin entered with a stack of files and a calm smile. "Sir, the marketing team needs your approval on the promotional strategy."
Soonyoung's heart skipped a beat as their fingers touched while handing over the files. "Thank you, Seokmin. You're always one step ahead."
Seokmin's cheeks flushed, and he looked away, but Soonyoung caught the hint of a smile. "It's my job, sir."
As the day went on, Soonyoung found himself stealing glances at Seokmin, wondering what lay beneath his professional demeanor...
Soonyoung couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to Seokmin than met the eye. He seemed to know everything about Soonyoung's schedule, preferences, and habits, but Soonyoung knew very little about Seokmin's life outside of work.
One evening, as they worked late on a project, Soonyoung asked, "Seokmin, what do you like to do in your free time?"
Seokmin looked up from his notes, a hint of surprise on his face. "Free time, sir?"
Soonyoung chuckled. "Yes, I'm sure you have some. Do you have any hobbies?"
Seokmin hesitated before responding, "I enjoy reading, sir. And photography."
Soonyoung's curiosity was piqued. "Photography? I didn't know that."
Seokmin smiled, a small, shy smile. "It's just a hobby, sir."
As they continued working, Soonyoung found himself wondering what kind of photos Seokmin took, what inspired him...
Later, as they packed up to leave, Soonyoung asked, "Seokmin, can I see some of your photos?"
Seokmin's eyes widened, and he looked away, his cheeks flushing. "I-I don't know, sir."
Soonyoung's heart raced as he realized Seokmin might be hiding a part of himself. "Please, Seokmin. I'd love to see them."
Seokmin nodded, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'll show you sometime, sir."
As they parted ways, Soonyoung couldn't help but wonder what secrets Seokmin was hiding...
Days passed, and Soonyoung couldn't shake off the feeling that Seokmin was hiding something. He found himself looking for excuses to be near Seokmin, to catch a glimpse of the person behind the professional facade.
One evening, as they worked late on a project, Seokmin's phone rang. He hesitated before answering, his voice barely above a whisper. Soonyoung couldn't help but overhear the conversation, Seokmin's words laced with concern and care.
As he hung up, Soonyoung asked, "Is everything okay?"
Seokmin's mask slipped, revealing a glimpse of vulnerability. "It's my sister, sir. She's been struggling with her health."
Soonyoung's heart went out to him. "I'm so sorry, Seokmin. Can I do anything to help?"
Seokmin's eyes met his, a spark of gratitude in their depths. "Just knowing you care, sir... means a lot."
In that moment, Soonyoung saw Seokmin in a new light. He realized that his assistant was more than just a professional, he was a person with his own struggles and fears...
