The sun blazed brightly, hinting at a day ripe with promise. Muichiro, eager to seize it, waited patiently on his bed for a particular someone. It'd been a while since the last time Genya had asked him out, and Muichiro would never admit it, not even to himself, but the boy was beginning to grow on him.
As if his prayers were heard, a sudden chime could be heard throughout the interior of his room. When the second one came in, he betrayed his laying stance, snatching his phone off the counter.
The notifications pursued, encouraging a sense of intrigue. Maybe it was the moon talking back to him, or the sun, still its rays, a call for others unaware. No matter, it was a sign. A sign Muichiro was actually willing to read amongst all the other inevitable outliers.
It whispered to him, slowly singing messages that Muichiro otherwise would never begin to perceive. To think such a valuable item was the sole reason behind a beautiful connection. Even if he didn't understand the significance of the connection at that moment, the motive was evident.
You have a date scheduled for:
When: today
Time: 8:00 tonight
Where: surprise 🫣
With: me
Attire: I'm wearing a button-up polo and some jeans. You can wear whatever you want. You'll look good in anything.Lmao, what is this setup?
Am I doing too much?
No, I think it's cute. Don't stop.
Muichiro could almost feel the warmth of Genya's blush through the screen, and he loved the sensation of it. He reveled in the symbol of affection it represented, even if he doubted he'd ever fully grasp its meaning. Blushing, to him, was such a beautiful thing.
As his arms stretched out through materials of cotton and polyester, the vintage wardrobe shaking lightly, he thought deeply. Except, this time, the thoughts would differ from what was traditional. In fact, he began to think of someone other than himself, and it was a difference he would continue to maintain.
For the very first time, Muichiro considered Genya, picking blindly off what he believed the taller one would deem attractive. Though it was a new feeling for him, it quickly grew into a sincere desire. He longed for Genya to gaze at him with such captivation that his eyes would find it difficult to stray.
Behind the unique style of his hair and a shoulder revealed was an eagerness to entice. He bit his bottom lip, backing up until his entire body was visible in the mirror. An eager huff ensued from his lips, the disappointment etching in his tone.
The way he presented himself began to disturb him all the more. As stressful as it was, it was undeniably a pleasant feeling; one, Muichiro didn't mind exploring. Given the chance, he yearned to embrace the idea of validation. It was something he had never felt before. A new feeling, one he happened to endure for Genya.
It was at that moment that Muichiro felt it, and he was unaware if it was dangerous or something he wanted to carress with intent to keep. He stared at the mirror, the final outfit option laden on his body, prepared for a desperate questioning. Even then, Muichiro would go for the latter with no regrets. He would go for it, knowing that there were answers awaiting him on the other side.
"I hope he likes it..."
