THERE were muffled voices heard in the infirmary. It was a doctor who was talking taking to the worried mother. The (H/C) teen slowly opened her eyes to see blind light. It took a while to process where she was, but she looked to the side to see a doctor looking at her.
"Wha-"
"Ah, you're awake," the doctor said. "How are you feeling?"
"...Good..." (Y/N) simply replied.
It took her a while to remember what happened, but when she did, she gasped in realization.
'Wait..Mom...Got hurt by my brother...! Then he beat the shit out of me!' she thought in panic.
"Wait! My mom!" (Y/N) said as she panicked. "What about my mom?! Is she-"

"She's completely fine," the doctor said. "She already got treated, and is already home to relax."
'Relax? Why couldn't she just rest on the beds here in the hospital?' (Y/N) wondered.
"And also, there are people who want to speak with you," the doctor added, grabbing his clipboard. "Once they come in, I will take my leave."
(Y/N) just watched the doctor leave until she soon saw two people came in. It was Stryker and Yuriko.
"Hello, miss," Stryker said. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine, I guess," (Y/N) said with a frown.
"Good. Well, my name is Stryker." he said.
Puzzled, (Y/N) titled her head. "Stryker? What kind of name is that? Are you sure you're Japanese?"

He chuckled, "Yes, but it's not my real name, of course. I just go by Stryker. It suits me."
'Weirdo.' (Y/N) thought as she grimaced.
"And this woman with me is Yuriko." Stryker said as he pointed to Yuriko. "You are?"
"(Y/N)."
"Hm. Nice to meet you, (Y/N). It's a pleasure."
"Kay."
"We're actually the ones who brought you in. We saw you on the ground after that terrible accident, so we brought you in to get treated." Stryker informed.
(Y/N) looked at the two suspiciously. Should they be trusted? Sure, they brought her to the hospital but there's something suspicious that (Y/N) can't seem to put her finger on...
"I see..." (Y/N) said. "Well, thanks, I guess."

(Y/N) turned to the side and saw her x-ray of her injured left hand. Sure, her claws healed, but the pain was unbearable. She wouldn't be able to use those claws from her left hand for a while.
"So you want to attend U.A. and become a hero, huh? And beat your villain brother?" Skryker said, cutting off (Y/N)'s thoughts.
She turned her head to face him. "How did you-"
"Well you see, (Y/N), my quirk allows me to read a person's strongest desires and dreams," Stryker informed. "Pretty lame quirk if I'm being honest, and it's not an ideal quirk for a hero. But I do love science, so I became a scientist."
"Hm..." (Y/N) said, eyeing the scientist. "Interesting, I guess..."
'That quirk IS pretty fucking lame.' (Y/N) thought.

Yuriko got pretty bored at their conversation, so she started moving her fingers a lot but once she did that it made loud bone cracking noises. (Y/N) grimaced, "What the hell, woman? Stop. That noise is annoying."
Yuriko rolled her eyes and stopped doing that just in case it drives the poor teen insane.
"Sorry," Stryker apologized. "She has the habit of doing that."
(Y/N) looked at him dead in the eye, telling him that she did not care.
"Anyways, as I was saying," Stryker continued. "You want to attend U.A. and become a hero, right? As well as beat your villain brother?"
(Y/N) nodded. "Yes. That's correct. But I've been turned down and people say I can't achieve those dreams because of my quirk. Nobody at my school accepts me..."
"I see...What if I said I found a way to enhance your quirk? To prove them all wrong?"
