Next day:
At airport:
"Y/n, I'm here!"
"Hello sir, good evening!" You bowed at him.
"I already told you not to get formal outside, you never listens me!"
"I'm... you're my boss, so-!
"Shhh, you no need to get formal with me!"
"Ok sir!" You smiled.

(After you both boarded on a plane!)

You and Taehyung, both traveling to Canada for a work assignment, had planned everything meticulously. He booked their flights, reserved two separate rooms in a prestigious hotel in Toronto, and made sure their schedules were in sync.

Upon arriving at the hotel after a long and tiring flight, You both approached the receptionist to check in. You feel slightly jet-lagged, eagerly awaiting her room key.

Receptionist: "Welcome to our hotel. I see you've both reserved two separate rooms."

Taehyung: "Yes, that's correct. We have separate reservations."

The receptionist's smile wavered as she clicked through her computer.

Receptionist: "I’m so sorry, but there’s been an unexpected situation. We had a large group of guests arrive earlier than expected, and due to an error in our system, we only have one room available at the moment."

Taehyung: (surprised) "Only one room? But we booked two separate rooms."

You has been silently watching the exchange, steps forward, his brows slightly furrowed.

Y/n: "What do you mean, only one room? We made the reservation before itself!!!

Receptionist: (apologetically) "I completely understand, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We had a group of guests with a flight cancellation earlier today, and we had to accommodate them at the last minute. The only room we have left is a suite, one of our finest, but it does only have one bed."

You glances at the Taehyung, unsure of what to say.

Y/n: "I… I’m not sure if—"

Taehyung: (cutting in, trying to sound indifferent) "It’s fine. We’ll manage. We’re here for work, after all."

The receptionist nods, relieved they’re not making a scene.

Receptionist: "Thank you for your understanding. As an apology, we’ll include complimentary room service and a bottle of wine. I’ll have someone bring your luggage up right away."

(Scene: Heading to the Room)

After the unexpected news at the reception, You and Taehyung are escorted to their suite by a polite hotel staff member, Noah , who is pushing a cart with their luggage. The atmosphere in the elevator is slightly tense, though both  try to maintain their composure.

you can’t help but feel a bit flustered. Taehyung, on the other hand, is battling his own internal struggle. He’s secretly thrilled at the chance to be closer to her, even if it’s under less-than-ideal circumstances, but he knows he has to maintain his composure.

Taehyung: (glancing at her as they enter the elevator) "If it makes you uncomfortable, I can try to get another room at a different hotel."

Y/n: (shaking her head) "No, it’s okay. We’re both professionals. We’ll be fine".

They both know it’s true, but there’s an unspoken tension between them now, something neither of them can quite ignore. As they ride up to the suite, the hero can’t help but think about how this trip might change things between them.

As the elevator doors open, the Noah leads them down a plush, carpeted hallway. Taehyung walks beside you, subtly stealing glances at you as you were clutching your briefcase, and your  professional demeanor still firmly in place.
