At Jungkook office:

The soft hum of the office air conditioner filled the silence between them. Jungkook sat behind his large oak desk, eyes fixed on the papers in front of him, but his mind was far from the work at hand. His secretary, Y/N, was seated across the room, busy typing away at her computer, completely unaware of the effect she had on him.

His gaze drifted up every few minutes, drawn to her movements, the way she carried herself with quiet confidence. His fingers tightened around the pen in his hand when he saw her stretch, the hem of her blouse lifting slightly, revealing just a hint of skin.

Focus, Jungkook, he silently commanded himself, but it was impossible. The unspoken tension between them had been building for weeks. Every time she was near, he could feel it — the pull, the need. He couldn't act on it, though. He was her boss, and the boundaries were clear.

Y/N suddenly glanced up, catching him off guard. "Mr. Jeon, is everything alright?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.

Jungkook blinked, quickly averting his eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said, his tone clipped, more formal than he intended. He could feel the weight of her gaze lingering on him.

She hesitated for a moment, clearly unconvinced, but she nodded. "Alright. Just let me know if you need anything."

If only she knew what I needed.

"Actually," Jungkook spoke up, his voice steady but betraying the inner turmoil. "Can you bring the Kim contract over? I want to review it again."

"Of course," Y/N replied, standing and walking over to his desk. As she leaned forward to hand him the folder, Jungkook caught a whiff of her perfume — light, floral, intoxicating.

He clenched his jaw, forcing himself to focus on the document. "Thank you."

She stood there for a moment, her fingers lightly tapping the edge of the desk. "Mr. Jeon, you’ve seemed…distracted lately. If there’s anything I can do to help—"

"There’s nothing," Jungkook cut in, sharper than intended. He regretted it immediately when he saw the slight surprise flash across her face. He softened his tone. "I appreciate your concern, but I’m fine."

Y/N nodded, taking a step back. "Alright. I’ll be at my desk if you need anything and the project is going well "

As she turned to walk away, Jungkook’s voice stopped her. "Y/N."

She paused, glancing back at him. "Yes?"

He opened his mouth, as if on the verge of saying something more — confessing the frustration, the tension that had been building between them. But instead, he sighed. "Never mind. Just…take a break if you need one. It’s been a long day."

Y/N tilted her head slightly, curiosity in her eyes, but she nodded again. "Thank you, sir."

As she returned to her desk, Jungkook leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair in frustration. The boundaries between them felt suffocating, but necessary. He couldn’t afford to let his emotions show, not when so much was at stake.

The door to the office suddenly swung open, and Sunghoon, the company’s marketing director, strolled in with his usual carefree smile. "Hey, Y/N!" he called out, walking past Jungkook’s desk without a second glance.

Jungkook’s eyes narrowed as he watched sunghoon approach Y/N’s desk, leaning casually against it. "So, you're the new one here and secretary of Taehyung?" Sunghoon asked, his tone light.

Y/N smiled up at him. "Yes, I’m, i came here for a project as my boss told me to and it's fun to work here and what's your name?"

Sunghoon chuckled, resting his hand on her desk. "That's great and I'm Sunghoon, you can call me jack!"
