1 - The End, and The Start of Everything

We all were coming back from our camping trip when it happened. A truck colluded with our car out of nowhere coming from the divider making our car roll over upside down. Blood and smoke coming from everywhere, Dad took the hit hard, while mum turned towards backseat and tried to prevent us from falling off. All that I could see was the blurry images with blood running down from my head and some glass pieces from window fell on me as I tried to cover my brother with my body. The next thing I knew is it all started to hurt horribly. My head was dizzy and my whole body burned with pain. I looked at my baby brother who is in my arms and saw blood on him as well. He closed his eyes, and I feared the worst. I shook him calling his name "Nial, Wake up" holding his cheeks. Luckily he opened his eyes, making me sigh in relief. I remembered our parents and called them 'Dad,Mum' and saw them being stuck in front seat, I saw mum moving and trying to help dad but there is no movement from dad with strenght. I could barely hear him saying "Kids,Kids"

Mum got out from her side and punched backside door to open it while I was trying to check dad. She called out our names "Mum" I replied as she got both of us out and put brother aside safely first "Mum, get dad, dad stuck there" I said while pointing at driver seat as she was wiping blood off from both of our faces. She turned and went towards the car to help dad

She cracked the door open calling out for dad. Just as she moved dad out, a black van stopped at in front of us and some men dressed in black clothes got out, going towards where my parents are. She turned towards them and growled, knowing that someone planned this accident. Mum got the emergency gun from dad seat and threw it towards me fast and looked at the criminals.

The men started shooting her, she dodged the bullets and killed two of them breaking their necks and threw the other one far. She looked at other five and growled loudly at them. They backed a bit but started shooting at her, she threw the other two when a bullet hit her making her stumble and that gave them chance and they tried to shoot at her again, she still ran towards them dodging and was about to kill the remaining ones when someone shot her from behind coming from different car.

I started to take my brother with me and took the gun and slowly walked further into the forest while pressing on my brothers mouth to prevent him from crying. I watched the scene hiding in the dark. Two old people came out making me widen my eyes as I watched Uncle being one of them, even though I understood what's going on, I couldn't believe it everything that's happening.

I watched as he got closer to the car and checked on father first. I closed brother's eyes with my hand when I saw him take out his gun and shot dad four times, giving no chance for him to stay alive. I cried as I watched it. They went to mom and checked on her condition. Uncle went to them "Where are the kids?" He asked them. They looked at each other not knowing the answer, I sucked on my breath and slowly went further into the forest, making a mistake of falling down as I didn't look while walking.

I started to panic but remembered brother, he is just a baby, six years old, and I'm just thirteen years girl, How can I save both of us? I held him tightly in my hands with these thoughts and started to run as fast as I can, when I thought we were far enough from them, I heard their voices and knew that we couldn't make it. So I did the only thing that came to my mind. I turned to brother "turn into puppy" I told him, he just shook his head crying, he probably didn't know what's happening. "You have to do it, only then we will stay alive" I told him begging. He turned and I took off my bracelet and shirt and hung it to his chain and put the shirt around his neck. I held his face as we both are crying "Don't make noise, quietly run towards that side and don't turn back at all, okay?" I told him showing my hand to the side we've been running towards till now and he nodded his head being scared. I hugged him "we'll meet again" I told him as I kissed his head and looked at him one last time before running towards opposite direction from him.

I couldn't run fast enough to get away from all of those grown men, I could only go half kilometer before they caught up to me. I then started using the gun in my hands, barely shooting any enemy, I felt mad that I don't even know how to shoot them! I fell down when I was shot on arm and calf which made me shout out loudly due to the pain. I got held by them and they lifted me with my arms and took me out to the cars. I stared out at the forest while crying, knowing that he is all alone in the wild, I was at least bit relived that he is not near these peopl and I could only pray that he ran further away and hope that he will make it out alive and safe and closed my eyes because of dizziness

I blurrily remember being shifted to different car and being laid down somewhere. I woke up feeling soar all over the body, I cried knowing that I don't have my family anymore and he is also all alone not knowing anything. I just prayed for him to be safe and alive. I didn't want to get up but I know I need to face it so that one day I can meet my brother.

I looked around and it looks like some some sort of guest room with no charecter. I checked my body and there are few bruises on me, some which are treated with bandge, It seems like I got treated well.

I opened the doors and saw some body guards there, they only glanced at me before alerting others in the room "Boss, she is awake" I walked further into the room and came to living area, I saw strangers sitting on the couch, I just stared at them, wanting to know who the hell they are. "Oh, you are awake, that's good, come and sit down" I heard a voice saying it, and I know who it is clearly, the traitor. I turned to face him with hatred "Meet these people, they are your new future family" he told me with a smile. I didn't care what he said or what he meant by that "What is it? Why happened?" I asked him sitting on opposite sofa facing him, "You were in an accident and the police said it was a robbery, I saved you and got you treated by a doctor while you are unconscious" he told me as if he helped me. I looked at the people around "Who are they?" I asked him gesturing with face pointing towards the strangers in the room

"I told you they are your future family" He repeated the same thing. "What do you mean by that?" I asked him angrily. "He is your fiancé, and his family" he told me smiling. "What the heck is going on? What fiance? Where are my parents and brother?" I asked him, putting up the act, even though I kind of have a feeling that they aren't there anymore. He made a fake sad face "Unfortunately I could only save you, others were dead by the time we came" he told me and gestured towards the strangers indicating that they played a part in saving me. I stumbled a bit, and held onto sofa for support, finally accepting that they aren't there any more

I felt someone hugging me leaning my body towards them, I turned my face to see who it is, it's the stranger who I was told is my fiancé. I moved away from him and stood up wobbly and looked at all of them before going back to the room I came out from.

I understand what's going on, at the same time I'm also confused, I cried while thinking about this. I lost my family and he told me that my brother is also dead, did he get caught, or are they lying? I'm praying it to be a lie. I thought about this and cried, cried for my loss, for my freedom and my loneliness from now onwards.

The food was placed on the night table beside the bed when I woke up again, I didn't feel like eating. I just ate two bites and opened the door only to see the body guards standing outside of my room. I realized that I probably will not be able to break free from these monsters who are in disguise. And I know that something bad has just started and it's going to be my future for a long time. I could only hope someone of my family is still alive.
