Hazel's point of perception :-

I wore my uniform in a haste, for I woke up late and if I don't hurry now, I will be surely late. I was trying to move faster than the hands of the clock. After locking my cottage, I started walking, no, actually running. The mansion was only 15 minutes away from my place and it would be a shame if I can't show up on time. Finally, I entered the mansion and again the air of wealth slapped my face, haha!

Julia : Good Morning, Hazel.
Hazel : Good Morning, Julia.
We greeted and hugged each other.
Julia : Do you remember that Mr. Liam is going to come today?
Hazel : Oh shoot! It completely slipped from my mind. I better start cleaning up his room, let me take the broom.
Julia : Silly girl!
I smiled clumsily and after taking the broom, ran upstairs.

I entered Mr. Liam's room and the room  spoke for itself. It seemed as if his room also carried his aura and colonge. I composed myself and started my cleaning.
It seems that whenever I enter his room, a shiver runs through my spine. I mean, it just reminds me of his personality, his piercing gaze. In the span of two years, I have seen him occasionally but never talked to him. However, I heard a lot about him from his mother, Mrs. Ariel Brien. Oh, talking about her...she's an angel... she has helped me a lot...I mean I was able to rent a place to start café due to her acquaintance only. I am indebted to her for all the generosities that she has showered upon me.
While cleaning, my eyes fell on one of the books in the bookshelf, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. I shrieked with surprise because Dostoevsky is my favorite author. I fell in love with him from the time I read about his life and his novel, The Brothers Karamazov. I took the book and turned some pages. The fragrance of the printed pages was still there, so, it means, it is unread. Anyways, I kept the book back in its place and resumed my leftover cleaning.

Everytime, I feel lonely in this whole world, I remember how Dostoevsky fought against the odds all by himself and this reminder always refuels my spirit. Suffering is life, as they say. I have started enjoying this suffering. I finished my work and went downstairs.

I did my other works, that included gardening, cleaning and cooking. By the time, it was 11 am, I was done with my morning shift.

Julia : Hey, before going, meet Ma'am. She was asking for you.
Hazel : Oh, alright.

I entered her room after knocking a d she greeted me with her beautiful smile. She is probably 45 years old, but there is a youthful vibe in her aged look. I believe that this happens with women who are able to retain the warmth in their heart and opennes in their ideas.

Hazel : You called for me ma'am?
Ariel : Yeah, please sit down. Actually, I wanted to talk to you about your contract. After four days, you will complete your two years here. So, you have to renew your contract.
Hazel : Yeah, I was pondering about this.
Ariel : So, what do you want to do?
Hazel : As much as I wanted to renew my contract, I feel that it is time to take a higher flight. I mean, I have saved enough money in these two years to start my café and restart my education.
I said fidgeting with my fingers.
Ariel : Hmm... I was expecting something like this only.
Hazel : Sorry ma'am, if you want I will renew the contract afterall, it was your through your aid that I was able to rent a place for my café. I don't want to be ungrateful towards your helpful and kind nature.
Ariel : Oh no! I didn't mean to say that. I am happy that you are finally flying with your wings but the only disappointed is that my garden will miss you and this house will yearn with your shrieks of laughter.
Hazel : You're very kind with your words madam.
Ariel : So are you. But anyways, take this contract with you and submit you application of resignation so that I can look for a new househelp.
Hazel : Sure ma'am. Thank you.
I gave a slight bow before departing from her room.
Ariel : Oh by the way.... Liam's coming, have you made all his favorite dishes?
Hazel : Yes ma'am.
She sighed and smiled at me.
