Xiao Zhan stayed the whole night at Yibo's, delaying after delaying his departure. He originally thought that he was interfering and that maybe Yibo wanted some space alone, given how his personality was, Yibo having shared with Xiao Zhan small and big pieces of himself. The fact that he was introverted and was often running low on his social battery was one of his little confessions. And Xiao Zhan didn't want to put him in an awkward position and tiring him more.
He waited the moment where he felt Yibo capsize, just a signal for him to leave, but it never came. Yibo seemed to never grow tired of him and that though only, let butterflies to sway in his stomach. So, he let it go and gladly stayed, to savor their last day of working together.
Xiao Zhan tried to forget this thought, hiding it in a corner of his mind. He really was dreading this awful deadline as its approached at the same speed as a running horse. Terrifying. He really needed to forget this now irrelevant cogitation. Xiao Zhan eventually took the way of living we call 'Carpe diem', a very much convenient method to enjoy his time with Yibo. (Even if some people dare to say that it's a sheep philosophy)
The two of them thus camped all day in Yibo's living room, feeling comfortable next to each other, confined in this big appartement.
It was indeed raining hard outside. Again. But this time they were completely awake, always exchanging meaningful looks, now charged with more than affection.
On this beautiful day, Yibo played the role of a great Master of Ceremony: He proposed Xiao Zhan a multitude of board games.
They played for a long time. In any case, enough time to let the competitive and determined side of Yibo to be freely showing. The latter wore a concentrated face all the time they played, pouting once in a while when the game situation put him in difficult positions.
But Xiao Zhan kept winning and winning, making him grow frustrated. Xiao Zhan noticed that the younger was containing himself, but the whole situation made him quite amused, discovering some genuine sides of Yibo by the way.
Xiao Zhan wanted to get to know Yibo even more, he desired to have knowledge about everything that constituted Yibo's personality, Yibo's needs. Everything. So much that it scared him at some point, that he was so deeply whipped for the young idol in front of him.
Time passed and Xiao Zhan continued to win. He quickly became unstoppable in this game of speed where you needed to reach a totem pole standing in the middle of the dinner table when certain cards opened the way. He went on without letting Yibo grab the totem once.
Yibo was directly looking into his eyes, obviously trying to say that he needed to stop playing like this. Now. Or he would get very mad.
Xiao Zhan simply ignored Yibo's eyes burning holes inside him and continued playing, feigning that he didn't care and minding his own business despite knowing that he honestly did care and that Yibo's eyes were growing a little too distracting for his own good and thus letting Yibo wins from time to time.
However, the game was still nearing the end still on Xiao Zhan's favor. Yibo grew impossibly restless, reaching for the totem pole in every situation possible and losing more and more points (losing his shit obviously). Xiao Zhan couldn't help but burst out laughing at this Yibo, showing his inner child in full display. Once more.
Xiao Zhan reached for the totem pole. Sorry Yibo I won.
But this time, Yibo's hand were fast and sneaky and instead of stretching out for the totem, he chose to grab onto Xiao Zhan face.
He kissed him. Hard. Xiao Zhan let himself drown in Yibo's demanding mouth and kissed him like it was their last day on earth. Technically, it was they're last day together, so it was understandable.
