**Sofia's POV:**

From her vantage point across the room, Sofia watched with growing unease as Lara engaged in conversation with Alessandro. The way Lara and the man—whose commanding presence was impossible to ignore—were conversing made Sofia's stomach churn with worry.

Lara appeared calm, almost too composed, but Sofia could sense an undercurrent of tension. Alessandro's demeanor was intense, and his scrutinizing gaze seemed to weigh heavily on Lara.
