Chapter 5 - Trapped

The room was alive with activity as CSA, Russia, and America's family worked tirelessly to analyze the clues. The tension was palpable, but the team was focused on their mission. Just as they began to make headway, a sudden noise interrupted their efforts.

The door to America's house creaked open, and the sound of it shutting followed almost immediately. A metallic clink echoed through the room—something locking into place.

Australia, who was closest to the door, looked up in alarm. "The door's locked!" he exclaimed.

The realization hit everyone at once. They rushed to the door, but the lock was firmly in place. France, the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand tested the handle, but it wouldn't budge. 

The sense of panic was tangible.

CSA's eyes darted around the room, assessing the situation. "We're trapped inside. Someone's locked us in."

California, Texas, and the other states looked around, their faces reflecting a mixture of fear and confusion. "What are we going to do?" California asked, her voice trembling.

Russia moved to the door and examined the lock. "It's a high-security lock. We won't be able to break it easily. We need to stay calm and think this through."

The UK paced the room, his expression grim. "This could be another part of their game. They want to isolate us and make us panic. We have to keep our heads together and figure out a way to get out."

Australia nodded, joining the UK in examining the lock. "We might be able to find another way out or figure out how to pick the lock if we can get the right tools."

Canada, still holding the ominous note, frowned as he glanced around the room. "We need to be careful. If they're watching us, they could be waiting for us to make a mistake."

France took a deep breath, her voice calm but urgent. "We need to stay focused. The more we panic, the less chance we have of figuring this out. Let's use our combined skills and see if we can find a way to escape."

With a renewed sense of determination, the group spread out, searching for any possible escape routes or tools that might help them break the lock. The sound of their footsteps and whispered conversations filled the room as they worked together, determined not to let this setback stop their efforts.

As time passed, the weight of their situation grew heavier. The lock was a cruel reminder of the high stakes they were dealing with. But the team's resolve only strengthened. They knew that finding America and solving the mystery was more important than ever.
